A thought... did something like this happen on 3/3 two years ago? March third 2003?

Mon Jan 10, 2005 2:38 am

I thought it was April 2003?

Mon Jan 10, 2005 2:45 am

Ah...Chinese Magics and Curses...still one of few items that still work.

I won't go into all of that, but I'd imagine it's possible for an event on 05/05/05 because we only get 0's for the next 4 years. and then they're by by for another thousand

(The neat thing is, I'll be here! Alive and kicking, laughing at all the deceased people of PPT Ancient  Slime Rules...)

If you check the clock down in the corner of your Windows menu [if you run that OS] you can see a calendar there. March is the third month, aka March 3rd = 3/3.

4 is death in Chinese too, you never say, write or type 4 on Chinese New Year, it's very bad luck.

Many people who weren't "famous" or "popular" did end up being affected by 4/4/04 by the way.

But really, I have faith in TNT that they will do everything they can to ensure that nothing like that ever happens again.

Are you Chinese?

:o March are you kidding me...I believe FlyingCircusPig is right...I believe it was April...That is if Im not mistaken

Mon Jan 10, 2005 3:36 am

Nope, the third month is march. January, February, and then March!

Nothing happened on March 3, 2003 except that Neopets released the rainbow toilet that day. The really bad stuff happened on April 4, 2004--when the password glitch occurred. Who the heck knows what will happen on May 5, 2005 and on June 6, 2006--and why bother worrying about it? All of that worry and stress could kill you.

For some reason, when I read your post and got to the part about the Rainbow Toilet, I laughed myself silly... O.o

The thing actually happened on April of 04, but because it happened (in numbers) 04/04/04, we just thought it might-ve happened in 03/03/03 (March of 03) and perhaps will happen in 05/05/05 (may of 05) get it?

Also, I think an evil chinese/japanese/somethingese curse is placed on this thread! It took me three tries to post this reply without gettng the blue screen of... <scaryvoice>DEEAAATTHHH!!!</scaryvoice>

If it is, I think its rather intentional, because the date is 444, and 444 if pronounced in japanese sounds like death so...

O.o Jumpin lizards. Sounds kind of like one of those predictions of the end of the world and it has some kind of involvment with superstitious numbers.

yeah buts that all fake
in fact i forget when but there was a prediction that the world would come to an end when the planets lined up

the date passed

I know that this event was bad, but I really hate when people compare this to 9-11. At the old NNN, everyone made a joke about it, and it really angered me. Sure, half the world says we deserved 9-11, but it was still a horrible tradgety and comparing it to a mere internet site (those who know me know that referring to neopets as 'just a site' is not at all like me) and saying that it was was 'just as bad' or 'worse' is very wrong, in my opinion.

Nobody compared it to 9/11 I don't think...

wether anyone did or not, i think it's just EVIL for someone to compare that to 9/11, so many people died, and that was NOT a replaceable website like neopets is :x

I was in the third grade when it happened, i had no idea what was going on, but i knew it was no joke since it was on the news still weeks later o.O

some people put neopets first in their lives, which is truly very sad that they can't get off the computer and actully get a life

It's sad when people blame things like 9/11 and the Columbia explosion on "America's arrogance."

It's even more sad when people compare the loss of a few kilobytes of data with the loss of life. Nothing pains me more than seeing those people choosing to jump to their death instead of burning in the smoldering wreckage... And here we have people comparing 4/4 to such a tragedy when all they lost was something that they could easily have acheived in a few months on their SPARE TIME. It's ungrateful, it's insensitive, and it's simply idiotic.

Thank God my dad stopped working at the Pentagon.

Omni, if you read the entire thread, you will see that no one here at PPT ever did do a comparison. Perhaps another Neo fansite did--way back when, but the people here at PPT who posted on this board shouldn't be lumped amongst them.
