Despite the limited number of levels, I managed to get over 1k on basic.
It took me a few tries because when you're tired and staring at the screen, sometimes a word will look wrong even though it's right.
I agree that this one was a bit too easy, and that it doesn't bode well for the final games.
Still 24/24 ain't bad!
Edit: For some strange reason I found a wearable key necklace in my inventory. Is that a prize for DD or am I hallucinating since I didn't get an event notice.

And I quote:
The Key Quest load test held on Saturday March 14th has now given out it's prize for participating. Users are given the Key Garland

As a poor speller I have a comment about Imperial Exam. I first tried to beat it on Advanced mode, which was a total failure and I almost gave up. I didn't because when I looked at my high score it was miraculous higher that AAA's even though I'd been getting scores around 200-300 and running myself out of time on advanced. Once I switched to Basic I was able to match his score in just a few tries.
I didn't realize that advanced dosen't give you more points per word! I just assumed (stupidly) that it was like most neopets games where the harder levels gave you a commensurately higher score. And perhaps they do for a better player who can garner bonuses, or additional time rewards that were lost on me.
I know this sounds obvious but I looked at several game guides that didn't mention it and jumped to bad conclusions so I thought I would share, and perhaps save someone else from having to ponder how many 'c's are actually in zucchini.

I decided halfway through Daily Dare that I couldn't match some of AAAs scores, so I've just been doing Abigail every time. Less hassle, and I'll still get a trophy.

None.
"Zookeeny."

Thanks for the tip of doing it on basic -- only took me two tries this way. I can spell, just not quickly. I before E always gets me.
Although I'm doing the NC Challenge... I thought it was a bit insulting that AAA's prize was a "dented" version of what you get for playing Lulu. It just seemed like a slap in the face to those who aren't paying. Probably, I'm reading into things too much... I just didn't like the name. Seemed pretty rude.

Thanks Xerophyte.
Looks like I need to read the news more often - since I didn't get the prize on the day, I'd forgotten about it!
Sorry about the double post!

I actually had a bit of a rant about this on the neoboards yesterday. We try so hard, and then to get broken items as AAA prizes is insulting. In addition, Lulu's prizes are so easy to get for those who have access to Neocash - which I don't. It's a bit insulting to those of us who are spending hours and hours and hours trying to beat AAA, when you can spend 5 minutes beating Lulu.
Obviously, people are paying real money for the tickets, but you may as well just put the items in the NC mall for the complete lack of effort that you have to put in to get Lulu's prizes.

Ugh, I don't want to hear about how "easy" this is. I mean, it IS easy, but that's exactly what's frustrating about it. I'm playing on the basic level, and I know how to correctly spell all of those words. I KNOW it! But I cannot for the life of me spell them
quickly. Right now I'm struggling to get past stage 4, not because I can't spell, but because of the time - and apparently because all the horrid spellers got in line first, so there's long periods of time when no one's getting in. It makes me want to scream, "Accuracy or speed! Which one do you want?!"
Seriously, the one time I want to do well on this game, and my brain is utterly failing me.

In stage 4, try moving a little faster -- you only lose lives for letting in bad spellers, not for rejecting good ones (although that does cost you time). I had a similar problem on my old computer -- the game clock seemed to wind down faster on it, so I'd run out of time. Good luck.

But see,
that is the problem. I'm already doing it as fast as I can. I think the only thing that'll get me past this particular stage is to get lucky and have a fairly long string of correctly spelled words.
Interesting you should mention that the timer ran faster on your old computer, though. I may try playing this game on a lower resolution just to see if it helps any.
Also, thanks! Sorry, frustration killed my manners.

Don't worry, I had to do the same thing. I thought I could do basic straight off the bat, but it did take me a few tries to make it. Eventually you'll get to memorize the words so you can hit the buttons faster. I use the keypad rather than the smaller up/down arrow set to keep myself going quickly. I have my middle finger on the 8 button, and rest my other fingers on the 4 and 6. That way I can quickly hit the 8 button when it's correct, and move the one finger when it's incorrect.
Hope this helps!

Sorry, I meant try not to worry so much about getting one wrong so that you can go a little faster... because you have 3 lives. But I was still going faster than my computer would let me even on my faster computer/connection (sometimes I would hit up or down and it wouldn't register, sort of like Maths Nightmare), so I understand your frustration. Hopefully you'll get it soon.

Well, I dropped down from high quality to medium quality just to see what would happen - got 955 points on the first try. Durr.

So, crisis averted. Thanks again!

Nicely done! That's what I did on Freaky Factory because the blobs were hiccuping as they went by.
