It seems that most time I'm off by one or two numbers, so perhaps it's not the counting that I'm struggling with.

Some point in the game I find myself in a daze and they are flying out in anywhich direction and I try to count them, but it seems like there are more flying than I can count at the time. I have problems with my eyes going out of focus at random times. Perhaps it is eyestrain.

I think it is tracking them all with my eyes I can't do so well. I try to count them as they enter. That seems to work well for me in the earliest levels.

Highest I got so far this evening is 45. I missed the next round by 1. :x I could have had it...

I'm also stuck on those annoying flying potatoes as my last remaining game. My high score is 22. Yippee. I've tried full screen, tiny screen, staring at the middle or side of the screen, taping a piece of paper in the center, pointing at potatoes, estimating, reading every guide I could find, trying (but failing) to do a series of quick screen shots, etc. It's disappointing to have put so much time into something and be unable to finish. I'm going to keep trying and my plan now is to find a couple of graphic-intensive pages to load in the background to try to slow my computer down.

Wow, I'm finally done.

I think I got lucky on EPC; I got 50+ on my first try. I used Jas' tip of the paper thing, and I guess it worked =)

Dubloon Disaster I stuck it out for a large value coin.

UB took me 10 tries or so; But at least I know how to play the game now :)

Glad I could finish it in time!

Ahh, I know what you are going through, I hate those stupid flying potatoes with passion now. But here is how I managed to get 50 points. Almost everytime I played that game, on the 3rd round I was off by 1 or 2 points. What I did was I counted the potatoes and then at the end, no matter what I thought the answer was, I always added 2 to my guess. Just don't get frustrated with the game or you will lose your concentration. And if you are still having trouble, swear at the game out loud, call it names, whatever, just get your anger out. Seriously, I did that and got over 50 on my next try. O_o

Good luck!

FINALLY! ~*~happy dance~*~
I did it and have never been so happy or relieved to only score 53 points in any game. I changed the screen resolution so that the game screen was really small, started Norton and AdAware virus scans in the background to slow the computer down, took off my reading glasses and backed away from the screen until I could see it fairly clearly. Before starting the 4th and for me final round I left the computer and did a few simple chores to clear my mind. Just wow. I can't believe I got it.

My final desperate step, if 50 hadn't been reached by 1 AM, was going to be switching out CPUs to an old really slow one and I was dreading the hassle of dealing with wires and connectors. All for one game score. That's sort of disturbing.

Wow! Congrats! :D That's great news!
Actually, if you really want to slow the game down, you can try spinning the wheels while playing the game (recommended: Wheel of Monotony, as it spins for a LONG time). It'll make the game jerky. I once spun the Wheel of Monotony while playing Hasee Bounce and got so frustrated that I quit playing Hasee Bounce for a week as I keep missing the fruits! But running it while playing EPC will slow it down, making it easier. :)

Finished! Finally.

EPC was complete luck; the first two rounds are fine, but I was always off by one or two by the third.

I'm pleased with myself for sticking at least long enough to get the minimum scores on a lot of these games... I usually give up on them if they take a long time to master and take a long time to play.

Yay! I just beat it too! After about a thousand tries at UB, I got really lucky with a 53. :)
Best prize I got was the Court Dancer Plushie. Oh woo hoo.. :P

Wed Nov 29, 2006 6:22 am

I'm done now. Thank God! :D

At least if there are any avatars involved I have a chance of getting one, or whatever the main prize would be.

I got quite a few books, though I'm not making anything out of them. I know I have a long ways to go for the book score, but I can dream can I? My pet read 50 books now.

So the grand total pointage is 846?

I hope they redo this sometime soon, so i would have a chance to participate fully.

Ah, heck! I forgot all about this today and yesterday cuz i've been so busy. Almost midnight on west coast and don't think I can finish 25 games in time. Oh well.

Wed Nov 29, 2006 8:15 am

Seems that midnight NST is not the cut-off. I recommend stragglers to be done before news is released if they want to finish. It might close at that time.

I didn't really have much time to finish today, I only had UB and UPc left. I managed to get them finished; even with 6 minutes after midnight. I also don't think midnight was the cut-off time. It would probably be sometime today; maybe before thursday hits. Seeing as it didn't exactly say an exact time. Who knows. I did get some good prizes; mostly they were snow items.

The first time I got a qualifying score for UPC; it didn't accept my score; I though I was going to hit my computer.. haha

Challenge is still open.

It was a 50/50 call, either midnight NST or when TNT updated the news.

It is good for those still needing some extra time.

Good luck everyone. :D

Whee. Just finished.

I think I gave up trying to get the qualifying scores on the last two (for me: Dubloon Disaster and EPC) twice. Thanks for whomever it was that posted those screenies of DD. Wouldn't have figured it out without them in time. As it was, I quit trying after getting 49 points. And then again after 49 points. Good thing I don't really know how to quit as I did manage to finally get the required amount.
