any thoughts as to what we do after he runs away?
also, any ideas about the significance of his fear of his own reflection?

I can only get the reflection to work in one room. Although it works with or without other items. Can anybody else get the event in multiple rooms?

well...looks like it doesn't matter where the lampost or chair is as long as the mirror is in that spot...I wonder what we should do next

EDIT: I can only get this event to work in this room, not in others.

I've gotten the event to happen in five different rooms, lit and unlit. I'm using a mozilla firefox browser, on the the other hand.

Firefox rocks.

Well, I guess the other items have specific places as well. I am going to try once again to get the event in a different room.

I don't think the browser one uses would effect which rooms it works in...maybe it's just different for everyone. I'll try it in a couple other rooms.

My room was lit but had only one door unlike the first post. I looked at the patterns of the walls to decide which room to use I had top door only here is a pix


well I do not know how to attac a picture but trust me I had the beast see its reflection in the exact looking room with the exception of no door to the right.

Weeeeeeeiird. I also just got the monster to see himself in the mirror again, only this time in a lit room with just the mirror, the rotten food, and the key to pick up over and over again until the monster got there. Both times, however, the food was in the middle of the room, and the mirror was underneath it.

So...I guess the room doesn't matter as long as the food's in the middle and the mirror's directly under it? But I could've sworn I tried that in other rooms and it didn't work...

I was using internet explorer (and enigma browser) and could not see two coordinates. Firefox seems to have the capability, however.

I just got the Mirror/Food event in a lit room with a left and "top" entrance. Mirror was front and center, food right behind it, lampost right behind that, and a chair front and left. He didn't stay to sit down, though.

EDIT: Any ideas on how to move the stupid table? I wonder if that has to be in the room as well....

As an Avant (IE) user I can attest that it doesn't matter the browser. I just got the secondary message with all items in my bottom middle room. Then as I was moving the lamp to the room to the right, I got the message again.

I was trying to get him to eat the key by putting food over it. It didn't work though.

Hey there! I was just about to post something similar. So far people have predominantly tried the mirror/food trick with the monster in lit rooms. I just tried it in my room with the chest and the key and it worked there as well, but he didn't do anything different except see his reflection, get scared and run away. Nevertheless, it seems important somehow that that event can be replicated in any room as long as the food and mirror are positioned correctly!

Set the room up exactly like the screenshot and it worked. ^_^ Now to wait for the next update...

Just tried it in another room and it didn't work...it only seems to be working in one room for me. Or maybe I have the coordinates wrong...what are the coordinates for the mirror and food?
