What's going on with the H4000 Helmet? The prices are insane lately! People asking 10-12mil on the TP, the cheapest in auctions right now is 7.2mil.

Magical Marbles of Mystery only cost 8mil and does 3 physical!!!

There's a Freezing Potion going for 7.7mil too.

It's crazy, isn't it? I'm glad I bought my freezing potion when they were around 5.5 mil (and I would recommend it over H4K if they're the same price now; it does 2 water icons and is also much prettier ). At least no H4Ks are actually selling for that insane 10-12 mil (and I saw three in auctions today for 7.5 mil and none of those had any bids, either). In any case, if you're going to spend that much, you may as well buy the marbles from the hidden tower and get those three physical icons of damage.

I think there may be an increased demand right now because of all those new cheap 9-iconers. Now that it's less expensive for new people to break into battling, there seem to be a lot of people doing so. And they all want the H4K because it's the most well-known freezer... inceased demand + not enough supply + greedy sellers = insane prices.

I think you're right Cranberry. Sometimes the economics on Neopets is screwy.

I put off buying an H4000 (when they were 4.5mil) and and bought the GShield first, since there were rumors that it would retire. Now, even though there hasn't been a war in a loooong time, some people have lost they're greedy little minds.

Why would anyone pay 10mil for your H4000 when they can get freezers that also do damage for 2mil less????

Not unless you have a lot of extra time and NP you don't mind wasting. Right now it's only useful if you use one or two specific weapons that require it (and they require a lot of it -- hundreds of points, I believe). Otherwise it does nothing.

Time to upgrade my Wand of the Moon, I like the idea of dual duty weapons. Whats the next step up under a million np's ? I did go to idb and searched for dual duty but nothing came up.

The immediate Wand of the Moon upgrade is the new Golden Compass. A teeny bit less dark defence (fraction of an icon; you won't notice), but 9 good icons of attack. You can also check out Dusty Magic Broom (great light defence) and see what its price is like now. TNT also seems to be releasing a few more dual-duties lately, so watch for new weapons and check the stats at IDB.

Anyone who wants to upgrade to Stone/Ice Club, now is a good time. According to SSW you can nab the Stone Club for around 80K and the Ice Club for around 74-75K. I bought mine a month ago, both around 96K and very few on the market.

Thanks Cranberry, I think I'll go with the golden compass and a honey potion, they are about the same price as the dusty magic broom(1.2 mil)

What you really need is a freezer and healer , also get rid of the evil snowball wand not only is it a waste of a turn its also fragile and evil snowballs don't do much damage anyway.

FREEZERS:Snowglobe staff-20k (semi-fragile) has about a 20% chance to freeze, but can also break before freezing , can give you a yellow snowball or defend you from another snowball(icy? I think).

Green Frost Cannon-4.3k (semi-fragile), has about a 10% chance to freeze , but does'nt break before freezing.

HEALERS:Lesser healing scroll-3.3k (Semi-fragile) heals upto 25hp once per battle.

And as a side note if you MAY be interested in species weapons for your skeith you might also try Regal Skeith Helmet(4.4k) does 4 light and defends 3 dark.most info credited to the idb.

I'm currently working on upgrading my weapons (aiming to get Stone/Ice Club, Cloudy Wand of Storms/Frozen Wand of Crystals etc) and was wondering if there's a better pure shield than Leaf Shield/Patched Magic Hat for about 70-200k.
