I did not leave the statue room after translating my tablet. I figured the next part would probably start there. Should I get out now that a new clue has been given so I don't have to wait if I need to go to a new room? I could probably answer that myself. Only takes a few seconds to get back to that room if I have to, right? I just don't want to have to tell her the translation again and then have to wait. Any thoughts on this?

I would just get out. The wait isn't very long to get back in ... so you could easily just get back to her.

That is, assuming you have a map to her. If you randomly found her, I would probably just stay there. :)

Did you already give her your translation and get scarab-ed? If so, you're going to have to refresh, give her an incorrect translation to get out of there so you're not stuck there. Then you'll be able to wait out the lockout time. I believe you will stay at that point w/ the faerie statue until you give her an incorrect translation to get out of the room and reset the temple. If you stay where you are and some clue suddenly pops up where you might want to go into the temple, you'll have to wait through the lockout at that time. You can always go back to your statue, just as with any other room in the temple. Does that make sense?? I hope so!

XenaAndGabrielle - not going to requote your entire line of thought but that's what i think as well. The avatar is just a reward once we've completed what we need to do, not decipher an avatar. And us fetching scrolls sounds very plausible as well.

I honestly don't think we just wait for the war and that's it as someone was suggesting. I've heard several previous plots (last one or maybe the one before) handed out 3 avatars and such. Not counting the things we got from the war itself.

I was wildly speculating at that point in my post.

Remember ... both messages "read" and "understand" has you "gain insight." The only difference is the verb.

What I think we *do* need to do ... is figure out how to find the ancient scroll repository. (if it is even possible at this point).

This is actually the first plot I've ever participated in! (Not counting the wars) I either wasn't paying any attention, or found out too late, so I'm rather excited to be part of this one for a change!

One thing I've noticed ... someone may have pointed this out ... but I might have missed it.

Princess Amira has a Neopedia entry. It has this stuff at the top.

Code:
Name: Princess Amira
Species: Aisha
Gender: Female
Interests: Music and the arts
Best Known For: Being the eldest daughter of the late King Coltzan III and ruler of the kingdom of Sakhmet.
Dreams of: A life without boring officials and foppish suitors pestering her constantly.
Quote: "For the last time NO!"
Also see: Prince Jazan

The curious line to me is the last one ... "Also see: Prince Jazan"

There is no entry for Prince Jazan in the Neopedia ... as far as I can tell.

Also, Nabile's entry.

Code:
Name: Nabile
Species: Ixi
Gender: Female
Interests: Making ends meet and "borrowing" from passers by
Best Known For: Mostly her fast-talking and intelligence, and her involvement with the Desert Scarabs, an underground group of thieves/street urchins.
Dreams of: A day when her stomach doesn't rumble and she no longer has to run for her life...
Quote: "Sigh, Tomos you are quite hopeless!"
Also see: Tomos

There is no Tomos entry, either.

When they put up the entries for the Maraqua war characters, they had the 'Also see' line that was unlinked. Give them time to finish hiding stuff in Jazan's entry.

that gives links to the old plot characters... the senators, advisors, who knows they're the ones mentioned in the fortune tellers clue

Found this in part 5, at top of the staff of one of the desert scarabs. In the first pic, mouse becomes pointer (happens at bottom of staff too) in second pic mouse is the normal hand that appears when a specific comic is 'highlighted'. I'm sure this is insignificant, but thought I'd post anyway.

Sorry for the diff. in image size (I think photobucket resized one)

I think this is probably just a bug. In this case, they just didn't fill that area in with anything, so it acts just like the borders of the comic do (make everything light). There are some other bugs I've noticed. For example, on comic 4-3, mouse over the black spots under the exclamation point. There are "empty" lines in the middle, that make it so you're actually mousing over the part behind it. (If you click a lot and move the mouse a little, you can actually get it so you see two speech bubbles at once*).

Some other ones:
There's a very small spot on Tomos, on the line between his shirt and chest, at the bottom right of 4-3.
There's a very small spot on Horace the Poor, under his left eye, at the top of 4-3.
Nabile's tail at the top left of 5-4.
Black spot above the eye of the Mummy at the mid-bottom left of 5-4.
Cobrall eye on Jazan's hat, mid right of 5-4.
Various places on the face of the skeleton at the very bottom right of 5-4.

I'm sure there are others, too. Basically, it's anywhere that's pure black, and neopets got lazy and instead of filling it in they just let the (also pure black) background show through.

* Ah, figured out what causes this: If you click in one panel, and drag to another, they're both considered "active", so you get both speech bubbles.
