i got a warning for typing the word ebay - on my guild message board. Was during the US Mcdonald's promo and the same day that the site had 2 benefit auctions advertised. I had posted that I was having a rough time finding an orange aisha plushie to complete my set. Another member suggested I try ebay. I replied to them, basically saying that was a good idea, that after I logged out, I'd go to ebay and see if I could find one (I did).

Next morning I logged in to find my First official warning in 2 years ... for typing ebay.

And Virtual, if I remember correctly, you got a warning then were frozen for typing the word ebay, weren't you?

 breaking their own rules, heh. it's really not fair that people have been punished for mentioning ebay.

If you have then tell us. Our monitors are NOT supposed to warn for mentioning ebay. It only applies to people selling accounts/Neopets/Neopoints on ebay.

I bet if I said "Buy a neopets shirt on ebay" at the chat boards I would be frozen for it.

do it, if you get warned let me know, ill get the monitor who does it warned by our staff and your account put back to how it was

Im going to go and say Buy a neopets shirt on ebay on the boards! LEts see what happens

Edit:

Yeah, I saw the stuff on ebay, pretty cheap too! I wouldnt buy one.. cause a guy wearing a neopet shirt.. no. XD. Maybe to bed.. yes.. but in public? No. ;)

ITs cheap if you live in the U.S but overseas it adds up for example it 19.99 us dollars that =25.56 Australian dollars and then to ship from neopets HQ to australia its $17
so it $25+$17= $42.
I wonder if the offer will ever be aimed at australians like the mcdonalds promotion. Its the shiping cost that puts me off and i dont think that neopets clothing is in any australian stores either.

Not to be advasarial but this has been brought up to you several times and you alwasys say this. And then people who have been frozen for mentioning e-bary get brought up and post and I don't believe anyone's had their accounts fixed.

I think there needs to be better communication to the monitors, and for goodness sakes to the players about what the chat rules actualy are. People keep getting in trouble for things that are never listed/posted anywhere on the site.

Jeez, this is just about as bad as the fact that people get frozen for getting into political conversations, yet they had a "Would Kerry have made a good president" poll in the shop of offers right after the election. Just thought I'd make sure all you non US'ers knew about that one, in case you didn't get it. Oh, the irony of it all.

You saw my screenie of that ad didn't you? :battar:
Neopets has done this breaking their own rules stuff for awhile, I don't think it will ever change.
