*plague* *plague* *plague*

Okay, ahem, got that out of the system. Needless to say, I usually avoid the neoboards. They've gone down hill in the two years I've been with the site.. because I used to be found on the Help Chat.
I'm just very glad that I am not a mod for them.. otherwise... Gee, anyone wonder why there are so many freezings involving the neoboards? I firmly believe that after reading 10 of the "OMG, i own 10000,00000!11111!" posts, I'd go crazy! 0:)

I use them when I'm bored. *shrug* I just avoid the topics with chatspeak.

I avoid it like the plague. Why go there when you can talk here? Besides, the more hidden you are on neopets the better, since you're less likely to get frozen for some dumb reason.

I prefer PPT of course, but sometimes I just want a fast paced place to go to talk about neopets and get some in some info on the most current happenings (20 topics of "OMG WHER R MY ITEMS?!?!?" are kind of hard to miss :P). Basically to stay unfrozen there you have to know how to handle yourself. But I'm only assuming that since I go there practically daily and I haven't gotten a report or a frozen account once, so I suppose I'm doing something right. I always use an account separate from my main one to go on the neoboards though. Just in case.

I was thanked for reporting someone. And I know it wasn't sarcasm, it's my second language. I like PPT better.

I go to the neoboards everyday.. in fact when I am on and have nothing to do in my real life :P I spent 90% of my time there reading everything.. but I don't post.. maybe 1 post a day from me on the average..

It's good to stay away from the neoboards if you can't control your anger though.. (which I know I can because it takes a lot to tick me off and push me over the edge)

It's not all that bad.. if you can filter out all the weird stuff :P

I help out with quests sometimes.

Moving on, I still think NeoMail is the best communication on NeoPets itself.

Thanks for the horror stories, guys. I just wanted to see what the general consensus was about neoboards. I have a hair-raising neoboards horror story to retell.

There were these two girls talking on the newbies board (the warehouse of dim bulbs). I believe their topic was "Teenagers election vote" or something about the election. Being as politically minded as I am, I stepped inside to see them basically just saying "GO BUSH" over and over. I know the TOS--so I replied and told them not to talk about politics. In tiny little letters I added "Go Kerry!" as a joke. I soon learned that these two girls don't like people telling them politely to be careful, as they mercilessly screamed "THIS IS NONE OF YOUR BUSINESS" (probably 'cos of the Kerry thing) and they reported my post. Reported it!! I logged off to go eat and came back to see TNT sent me an official warning! Thankfully I wasn't frozen, but it sure seems weird to be officially warned for politely warning people to be careful...

So more or less I've become unknown on Neopets. I allow everyone to send me Neomails--it's how I sold off a Gold Job Coupon for 95k pure and a codestone--but I still get a few amusingly stupid messages. Someone told me that selling things with fixed prices (4000 for every variety of codestone, 100 for every variety of coffee, et al) was a dumb trick and laughed at me...really rich coming from a person who had been on Neopets for three days (as opposed to my 2 years of experience on different accounts)

I honestly think that the boards should be more moderated. People should stay on topic. They need moderators, and if they already have some, well THEY DON'T HAVE ENOUGH! And I am through.

Your mistake was mentioning who you were voting for / wanted to vote for in that one topic. But their mistake was reporting you and turning around and doing it themselves again..

It would have been a better idea to NeoMail them, if anything. :)

Jelly World boards? (Gollum voice) What's those, precioussss? (No Gollum voice) Or is that too much to ask?
I think they need to flesh out Jelly World a little. I like the giant jelly and the jelly blobs of doom game (the jelly's too slippery!!!), but it seems like they've forgotten one of the best, or at least funniest, parts of Neopia.
