Isn't the Negg Faerie male?

if you notice fyora carefully, she looks much more older than the other faeries. I like the way jhuidah looks. It's not like they are going to revamp her again just so she can look thin. Her official image is still of a curvy woman. And the images from the book of heroes shouldn't be taken so seriously. They are just more character images. different images.

For the longest time, I thought the Neggery faerie was a male. Now I know it isn't, but it still looks way too masculine.....

...but then again I'm just being picky and mean.

I agree. :(

Edit: nevermind, in the other topic that has a similar title.

Whats so non kid friendly about an outfit. If judiahs wearing something thats to racy, then the little mermaid is living life on the edge ;)

Well, apprently outfits really don't matter since they allowed that swimsuit banner on XD

i agree with meowth, there really should be more full figured faeries instead of the usual anarexic-looking ones also why do all the faeies have straight hair? jhudiah is the first with wavy but there're no curly haired ones :(

They made her look action-hero-y. She has the kind of dynamic physique that you'd see in comic books. How many women action heros do you know are rotund and wear full length skirts with shirts that button up to their eyebrows?

*disclaimer* - i'm not a size 2 and never will be.

I don't care about you including that disclaimer, I found this post EXTREMELY offensive. I am a 19-year-old female who weighs over 100kg. I have been overweight all my life due to a medical condition that exercise and diet simply cannot shift. I found this post to be extremely shallow and - it actually hurt me to read it. It's this kind of mind-set that I have been trying to fight against all my life (the number of times I've nearly been in tears trying to do clothes shopping because I'm an Australian size 22, or I was called 'fat and ugly' nearly constantly in primary school).

Jhuidah is NOT an action figure. She's a faerie who lives on an island and helps look after a magical cooking pot. She's not flying around fighting evil and showing off her body. She may not wear as much clothing as other faeries, but she's living on a tropical island. When I was in Fiji years ago, there were women of all sizes walking around like that, and I didn't mind. It's traditional.

I liked the compacter, slightly chubbier Jhuidah as well. It did show that there wasn't just the stereotypical barbie-doll figure on the site, which is pretty much everything else I look at (the other faeries, female heroes, etc). This is not a good thing for the self-esteem of younger children who don't happen to have supermodel figures and can't wear revealing and skimpy clothing.

I agree with you, Ledi.
That WAS an offensive way to put it. Plus, if an overweight lady wears a smaller outfit, all power to her. She doesnt care what others think, plus tiony cloths dont look good on anybody, skinny or not.

Lol, I agree. How could a male faerie have this kind of stomach? TNT would've have drawn in abs or something if they meant it to be male.

Edit: Also, isn't she obviously wearing a bra and a skirt?

You know, I really don't see all that much difference between the Gallery of Heroes image, and the pre-existing one...

Jhudiah has always looked healthy and robust to me - not necessarily curvy, but certainly not wafer-thin. And the only difference I can see between these images is their dimensions. She looks more curvy in the old image because it's 150x150 and it's a full-body shot. The new one is bigger, and cuts off just below her waist.

So, honestly, I don't really think they've made her thinner, it's just the way she was drawn.

And, incidentally, I've never considered any of the faeries to be anorexic. Granted, they aren't large, but that doesn't mean they all suffer from eating disorders. There's a big difference between being naturally thin (or fit) and being anorexic.

I also don't agree that the faeries are all scantily clad. After all both Fyora and Jhudora wear full length robes, and Taelia wears a fur coat (and won't animal activists be happy about that one). And granted some of the faeries wear tighter clothing, but they're still well covered - Illusen, the Space and Battle Faeries, Psellia...

Finally, if anyone would like to see an image of a faerie who isn't wafer-thin, then Ursula Vernon, one of my favourite artists has one in her DeviantArt gallery. You can find it here: http://www.deviantart.com/deviation/7437279/ (the image, that is, not the gallery).

So full figured = crotchety old hag?

I'd think twice before posting stuff like this ever again.
