I think that's an awesome and hilarious idea. I'd take part, but I don't have acess to the lab ray.

And I have to agree with Erin in the idea that they are like scammers, just wanting to ruin the game for everyone trying to have fun.
They don't particularily affect me, but one of these days I'm hoping to be lucky enough to get a Lutari from the pount since I don't have a phone that supports Lutari Island. If this continues, my slim chance of that happening will turn to nill. I don't tend to support any group or idea that will make other neopians feel less comfortable and/or secure.

I think it's a big waste of time, effort, and neopoints on their part. So many people adopt, feed, and lab till the pet is a good color. The project is just undoing those people's good intentions.

As a neo player, I like to feel that I am a person who gives back to the community. I send random people stuff when I see them doing nice things. I buy all the items from non-irritating newbie shops. I adopt-zap-abandon to make somebody's life happier. Why would they want to steal away my joy?

Elitism is what it is. Like those individuals who made a mutant quiggle then turned it into a green uni after all thier groupd got it so THEY were the only ones to have it. As if having it 2 hours before everybody else made them better in any small way. Pathetic.

I've got four perfect pets on my main, and I don't want to risk any of them in a transfer.. and my lab ray is on my main..
Thus.. Must get new lab ray for side!

Ummmmmm, I don't think Lutaris can BE pounded, which makes this even less likely than you think.... Maybe I'm wrong though... anyone else?

You're right, Lutari's cannot be pounded. They just disappear.

Guys, people do what they want to do, TNT has already stated that they don't consider them scammers. Any 'combatting' or whatever cannot take place on the PPT site and must be taken off these forums. Be careful as well, you never know who is a member of the Green Uni Project, so you must be aware of who you may or may not insult by posting on these forums.

I, for one find TNT's position on this appalling. Ok, so it is only a game and what GUP is doing isn't a scam, but it is not playing the site in the spirit of the game.

TNT many times have said it would be nice to play in the spirit of the game, to play fair.

I can't see how turning zapped pets into green unis deliberately to stop others getting a nice painted pet, is playing within the spirit of the game.

TNT's insistence that it isn't any worse using pounded painted pets as a status symbol and then dumping them when another comes along is absurd - we are not talking about live pets, if TNT doesn't like how the pound is used, then it should be taken away or upgraded to something better.

I am not 'all twisted up' about this and it doesn't affect me, but I feel strongly about a group of people that have taken it on themselves to change the way Neopets is naturally run.

The very idea of GUP offends me - here is a group that for no other person is to spoil the game for others. It is mean spirited.

Also, this action is a group effort - TNT frowns on groups buying shop items (as in false inflation) but has nothing but laughter for this! So the situations are a little different, but this group is still en masse changing how the game is played.

I think GUP is ridiculous and stupid. But mostly I don't really care. Since I prefer to name and paint my own pets, it's more rewarding that way. But I don't really care what other people do with their pets or how they get them.

Honestly, I'm much more concerned about the inflation of green uni morphing potions. Because I have a blue uni at the moment, and I was thinking of morphing him to a green uni for the Kauvara av, then painting him spotted, which is the color I want him to be. XD

I guess I should snatch up a GUMP now before they go up any more, heh.
