I don't think it ever looked noble. Nor did it look like a hound. I agree that from that story they should have made it more noble and stronger, but I still like the current gelert better.

Whenever I hear that a pet's about to get updated, I get worried. All the new looks make the pets cute in an ugly way, and then they give them this dopey expression, like they were born kittens or something. I wish there could at least be a vote on it. It wouldn't be that hard to make 3 or 4 possible new looks, and pick the one that gets the most votes.

So have I. Have you been to the dogs grave?

If I can find a pic of what it says on the grave then I'll post it. It's so sad :(

Yeah, that's true, I agree with that. Everythings looks too childlish. But anyhow.

I found one of those when I was searching for the story. Lemme get it...
Here it is (in english) http://larae.net/photo/britain/beddgele ... nglish.jpg

*checks the Nothingbutneopets site* No, they don't have it! There was one Gelert, between the Polypup name change, which they only kept for about a week before switching to the other Gelert they list. I'll keep trying to find it...

You can see the old Gelert, kind of, in the title bar to the hospital.

Neocolours also has most of the older poses.

For people who are disappointed with the new "cute" style, you might as well get used to it. This new style, which is cartoony, not "cute", is how pets are being drawn. The Gelert isn't even it the current style yet. Instead of complaining about how "cute" you think pets are turning out, you should just get used to them.

Heres a picture of the old gelert picture:

It was badly drawn, the only thing good about it was its leaness, and it wasn't puppy like, besides that it wasn't heroic or noble looking at all.

No, I'm afraid that gelert isn't the one I'm talking about... There was one there had for a very short while, it was 2-dimensional, staring straight ahead with its side to you. I think it was just a prototype... No, not talking about the one nothingbutneopets has labeled as Polypup. It was soon replaced with the old one Arcticfox shows anyway. If it had been made more 3d it would be good. I'm gonna keep looking...

There was a Gelert contest. You can find it at http://www.neopets.com/comps/gelert.phtml

Is it any of them?
