do any of the other old people around here remember the time they had to restore the database to a backup from a day or two previous?

Oh sweet Sloth on a sugar rush.... I guess if it's only a day-or-two's worth of time, it won't hurt me, but I can imagine how many other people would be royally peeved by that (even if it were necessary).

So now I can't store my NP for safekeeping for fear that I'll lose my bank savings, and I can't keep it on hand for fear that it'll vanish into thin air. Lovely.

*raises hand* Yes, twice since I've been here. Once was all little over 2 years ago when they reset the SDB's back two or so days. Right after Neo's birthday. And once was about 2-1/2 years ago when they reset the shops and shop tills back--but only for those users on the a/i/q/y shop wiz line.



Yep, that's sort of how I feel. I am doing nothing on the site but chatting in my guild, writing neomails to friends, and posting on the boards. I actually had one guy write me and ask what had happened to my shop--where were my neggs. I chuckled and said to myself, where the heck has this guy been the past few days. And this was after today's glitches. Premium chat, BD chat, and Help chat were loaded to the gills with people's comments about this. I have never seen so many people comment about a glitch before--so it had to have affected lots and lots of people.

One would think they'd be scrambling to fix this. I bet their page views have dropped like a lead balloon in the past few days. Especially after today's craziness.

Wow, how bizarre. I haven't really noticed anything strange at all on Neo, even when things began to lag and generally go crazy several days ago. Although, to be honest, I haven't been doing much aside from my dailies and a couple of games. But there's been virtually no lag and no fluctuations in my NP (yet) (knock on wood).

Main username starts with "r." Think it might in fact be just some servers on the fritz, as some have already said? I don't really know enough about how that all works to say for sure...

My username on neo starts with "r" too and I haven't noticed any problems or NP changes either (although I haven't done too much besides dailies or games recently either, well except for buying codestones to train my pet). Perhaps it is still only usernames with certain letters that are affected (except now more ones than before)?

I had 21k appear out of nowhere and it still hasn't gone away. It's been about 8 hours since it showed up.
*wishes it had been 5 million*
man, if that happened to me and the overlooked it.... i'd be so torn between spending it like mad and leaving it be that my head would probably explode LOL
but if it sat there for too long....

I got an extra 100K, and I'm close to exploding myself. I don't want to spend the 100K, but I want to spend the other 200K I had out BEFORE I got that glitched NP. But I'm afraid they'll count that against me and freeze me. -sighs- I wish they'd fix this soon...

Well, I haven't had my 10K returned that went poof yesterday.

I had a dream that they said something in the news about this. But of course they don't, they just leave us hanging wondering what's going to happen.

I think I should take the few things I have in my shop out, incase they sell and then that NP disappears.

After all the reading and posting, I forgot about this and convinced my husband to sign up last night.... I wonder if his account and pet will disappear if they reset? That would be REALLY weird. It would mean you could potentially steal someone else's username and pet name if they were created in the last [however long].... weird!

I hope they can just get it fixed though. *sigh*

Neo's hits have to be suffering due to these glitches. Surely, TNT will make an announcement about this. Just to alleviate people's fears. And get people to start playing again.

I was thinking that I wouldn't notice a couple hundred, but millions, I'd notice.

I was also thinking about if the site is reset that I'd lose the NP's I've collected from the couple games I play- not a big deal since they are games after all and fun. But I would sigh to lose the morphing potion I got from the WOE.

Just curious. Has anyone who experienced the glitch gotten their nps reversed? Or even gotten a reply from staff about it? Because I haven't and I am somewhat leery about playing the game right now.

The glitch gave me 10k and a couple hours later it was gone. Nothing from staff, and I have not hesitated to play since.
