It goes away when I switch my country to Japan, but so far I think it's just going to seem random until they officially announce it.

That's just horrid.... I really, really hope they either get rid of it on pet lookups, or move it to the bottom of the page..

Don't they have enough ads already? I remember when there was no Neopets Magazine, no Premium, no top banner ads, no ads at all. At least make it less noticeable.

It also went away (for me at least) when I changed my language from English to French, then came back when I switched back to English. So if you're bilingual and this is permanent, that could be an option...

That is awful. How annoying for that to be the first thing you see when you go to a petlookup page. Why do I have this urge to send an neomail to neopets right now?

I love Google, really I do... that's why I have the Google Toolbar and Gmail.
But that is NOT cool. Its big, obstructive and totally pointless when there is a google search option on the sidebar.

Muahaha! That worked! I guess I'm going to be Japanese from now on.

Unless they implement it in Japan too, then I'll go back to being smurf. Thankfully switching your country doesn't change your language.

I don't think that is IT..at least I don't think that sounds like a big woop de do kind of update...

Really? I'm from Azerbaijan now.

At first glance, that didn't even seem like an ad to me, except for the sidebar screenshot... Neopets has a really... "bizarre" ... search implementation, so letting Google search on neopets.com would be a relief, to be honest. Wikipedia did it too, especially when MediaWiki's search wasn't very good, IIRC. But...that sidebar integration. Does choosing "Google search" add the restriction "site:neopets.com" to the search?

I'm premium and havent seen it yet.. I wonder if they removed it for now maybe?

ug I already have google on my firefox browser. I don't need 50 billion search bars. Well, I'll probably just use firefox to block it anyway.

I just changed my country to US, and I only see this:
Do you guys see that too?
Edit: I have no premium, BTW.
Edit again: Oh sorry saw it in the screenshots ^.
Edit AGAIN: When I change back my country to S'pore it disappears...

I don't see it.
I'm Canadian, and on trial for premium..

Huh. I've been searching around Neopets all day and haven't seen it anywhere... no user lookups, no tops of pages, nothing. My country is US and I'm Premium... I'd say maybe Premium blocks it, but I think others said they were premium and had them.
*shrugs* Anyway, I doubt that this is the big thing TNT is talking about... this is just an addition... unless they're saying that this is an overhaul of their search system, but I doubt that.
If it is, though, I'll... er... drink this entire Mt. Dew and go to sleep.
