EDIT: My bad. I get you right now. So you're basically saying that you should train your HP to the max amount before you move on to the next stage. NICE... never thought of it.

Along these lines; I was always puzzled that you didn't gain stats from battling opponents. It makes so much sense in Neoquest that you gain experience for every opponent you fight (more points for stronger opponents), and when I first figured out that the BD didn't work in the same fashion, I was disappointed.
Even now, I still wish TNT would establish that kind of system; maybe training would still raise your stats more/faster, but battling could still give you a fraction of a strength/defense point for every battle won.
