Why am I suddenly reminded of the Winter Sidebar?

This is getting ridiculous. I had the plant fixed in 20 mintues, with not so much as a flood to hinder me. I don't understand why so many intelligent, experienced PPT members haven't fixed the water plant yet. I want to say it's a browser-related error, or a mistake on TNT's part, but surely the former would have been figured out, and the latter fixed, by now? o_O

I'm sending off a question to the editorial concerning this, but I really hope you guys can solve it sooner than later.

In response to the comment about account age, mine is also 6 years old, and I got the water plant by random clicking within about 4 minutes or less. I've also has easy times with the punch club (1st try) and pretty much everything else, except the bandages. I don't think it's a factor, if yours has been so difficult with a similar account age. (If you're looking, my Neopets name is the same as my name here.)

We should hold a PPT plot award ceremoney! ^_^ For the figure-outers, the down-on-their-luckers and the code-writers (all the nice constellation webpages).

That's too bad everyone hasn't got it yet. I went into my first room, clicked each valve from right to left, and got it instantly. I guess that is my justice for all the hours I spent on the stupid punch bowls and the 100 hallways of the colosseum.

I hope you guys get it soon!

I thought all of the former too (browser issue, bug glitch) but it has been confirmed at least it is not a glitch, just that "we haven't figured it out yet." I also wonder why those of us left, seemingly fully capable, cannot hit upon a sequence or pattern or even on accident. It would ironically be far more helpful if those "that dunno how they got it" could actually just figure that out for the rest of us, lol. Someone noted it might be getting the water to flow and drain in a proper order from top to bottom, etc. or something, but barring that, it is sort of unfair that any random person no matter what their intelligence (no offense to the *lucky* ones hehe) can just click and get it ON ACCIDENT! Okay, rant over, sorry everyone.

EDIT: Okay, rant not over. Because, see, you really didn't "figure" out anything. You don't know what you did. And if you did, then you could remember and tell us. Pay more attention to what you're doing next time. :P

Well, if it helps, I've suddenly discovered I can reenter the plant and see what combination I ended up with.

Left Room: ++ (empty vat, no water in pipes)
Middle Room: ++^ (Right vat filled, bottom pipe filled)
Right Room: ^UU (vat filled, no water in pipes)

Admittingly, I was trying to flood Altador so I could start over when I found the solution; I was clicking random levers and wheels in the hopes I would screw up, so paying attention to patterns never even crossed my mind. *facepalm*

Edit: I wonder if the order you enter the rooms in matters at all?

There, there. Don't worry. Apparently it doesn't matter if you find it randomly or with intelligence. Take comfort in that. Errr .. well, okay sorry again. Been at my ends for days here, wondering why I go on ...

Same here. I clicked a couple levers in the first room, and one in the second room when I was told I fixed it. I don't even remember what I clicked.

Same here, I'll post mine as well. But I doubt it'll be helpful.

Left room: +x(everything empty)
Middle room: ++v(right vat filled)
Right room: vvv (vat filled, left pipe filled)

I.. don't get it. Looking over people's results.. it makes no sense to me at all. ^^; But then again, I've breezed my way through this whole thing *knocks on wood*. The punch club, the valeous.. ^^"

I really really don't think the flooding nor the water locations matter. I used the list of sequences people had gotten so far and started to go through them (before that I hadn't gotten by random clicking yet). Along the way I got it, but with a different sequence than those published. What I don't get is that both mine and my son's sequences were exactly the same. That's just too weird to me! If we had the same sequences, it seems that the odds of getting it are good; so why are there people left who can't get it? Doesn't seem right (I mean at the neopets' end).

It is possible the "combinations" are assigned by IP I suppose? Having said that, since *sequence/order* matters more than the final answer, can you remember what order you did your rooms in, such as if someone posted x+ ++d dud, did you open 3 tabs or windows and do room 1-2-3 or did you start at room 2, where the main 'entrance' is and go back and forth, etc. .. ?

EDIT: After all my trials, I do now notice the most curious thing. It seems when I "feel" like the water is "flowing" from room to room nicely (nothing is completely shut off, in terms of water flowing, a little bit of on and off here and there for lack of better explanation), I am always, always ONE switch away from flooding! I noticed a few other people also mentioning that they were going to try to flood, then just got it. At this point, the flooding is far too fun and hysterically amusing now anyway. Maybe I can work backwards (sigh, yet again) to try more sequences, flooding inbetween, thus increasing my chances of fixing the plant.

Did both of you get it near the same time? Maybe the winning sequence is the same in a specific time or at a specific second after the minute. Some other Neopets chance games are based on this.

I always started with the left room. Looking at the list I was working from and what I checked off, I'm confused as to how I got my sequence! I must have strayed :D . Mine was +x ++d duu (the last one I have checked off on my list is ++ x+d udd). There was no water in the left
room.

It wasn't immediately after, but it may have been within the hour.

Despite being told there is no glitch, I am in disbelief I can be so unlucky. I have plenty of other things to waste my time on; this is getting boring.

It's likely that those that got it by "just trying someone else's combination" (even left to right) did several other things beforehand that led up to it, that they did not notice at that point, didn't think to make a connection. Well I have been staring at water go from here to there for days now, I feel like I should get my Plumber's Club Badge already. But it still doesn't help me solve anything, if I have no idea what the aim is.

It is against all odds there should be anyone left doing this, including myself. If anything, there should be a finite number of clicks programmed in before one just "magically" gets it, seemingly like others have. It should not be something to put someone out of a plot if they have made the effort, and advance others through no effort or level of skill required.
