I don't know if this is just a coincidence or not but all of my constelations seem to be lining up in order. The second one I found is almost directly under the first and the third one I found is almost directly under the second.

Ok, you can now find all my templates in my "Elric's LDP Fun Pics" post located in my siggy. :D

And Sky, yeah, I know. It's just I've been so busy with finding future constellations and helping people find theirs that I haven't had a chance to come up with anything...um...good.

Though I did make one, and it's in the constellation part of "ELFP." Not my best, but at least it's something.

Do they go to the left in a patter or line or in a random order

Mine are random. They strat in the upper middle, then go to the lower left and then upward to the right.

Hi all, been readin from the start but havn't had time to contribute.

my stars are random too;

top left, dreamer (2)
center, sleeper (1)
bottom right, first to rise (3)

ps thanks for all the help to this point especially darkfire for that awesome star mapper.

Mine were also scattered, and I found increasingly difficult to find.

I did notice some things that are probably true for everyone about the constallations, though, for those still looking, or for the rest of us looking in the future.

1. Each new constallation is in a part of the sky away from the other constallations. In other words, if you see part of another constallation, the new one is probably not contained there. (I could be corrected on that, though.

2. The expanded 3rd star map has a different outer bound than the first two star maps. (Not sure if this is true with the original map or not.) In the first two maps, you can move the telescope as far as (400, 400) (in a square plot). When you get the co-ordinates for The First To Rise, the center can go as far as (460, 460). It might be a way to confirm if the map has or has not changed at all for the odd constallations, if the maps get expanded in the future.

I should've used absolute bars, but people might already be scared by the coordinates...

my farmer is directly right of my first to rise, so that theory is wrong

Guys, it's senseless to try to find a pattern for the constellations. It's completely random, so of course it's going to have what looks like an order for a few people.

As much as I like to read into things (like the repository...heh), after looking at over 50 different star datae, I can tell there's no rhyme or reason to the placement of the constellations.

yeah, that seems the most likely happening at the mo.

i think the only thing we can safely guess at this point is that the constillations will not overlap with each other (i hope anyway, that would just look stupid). i guess it will get easier towards the end (unless the map gets MUCH bigger).

oh well, we'll see i guess

aren't these waiting games fun *sigh*

I have no way to test for it but I thought I remembered the first map only going to 350 or 360.

I agree with Elric on this one, the only thing that is common between any constellation is how they are distanced between eachother, the stars are, so far, always spaced apart by a multiple of ten. this means that i fyour looking for future constellations look form coordinates who differ by say (x1,y1)-(x2,y2)=100, 60 or 50, 70 or 60, 130 ect... also so far all the constellations contain 6 stars, not only this but usually neopets wqill throw in decoy constellations to throw you off. such as all but one star will line up. hope this helps a little bit

EDIT:
K also im pretty sure i just foudn the theif, if anyone could send me their starmap coordinates after they found the first to rise so that im able to test out my theory.
