You should both get the sidebar, but I don't know of any avatar related to the card.

There IS a Valentine Chia avatar you can get by sending the "I Love You" Neogreeting to someone on Valentine's Day.

In case I'm not able to restock one, is there a chance someone would
make me the sendee? I could send a gift in return, but don't have anything
spectacularly valuable. How much of a tip is generally expected in this
sort of case?

No-one answered the question yet, and I'm wondering the same thing. Is it against the rules for me to say, charge someone 200k for them to be on the recipient end of the vday card?

i don't think so. last year, when i got mine, another user and I made an agreement that they would send me the card (so we could both get the sidebar) as long as I paid half. the card was sent and we both were happy campers.



valentines day is on the 14th of this month. (next tuesday)



most people expect the recipient to pay for half of the cost. some ask for more, some less. people here (on PPT) are probably not going to ask for as much as someone would ask for on say...the neoboards. it is also generally nice to give the sender a couple thousand neopoints more as a tip just as a kind of saying thanks. when I got mine last year, the price was about 100k each, so I gave the sender 55,555 neopoints (50k for the card, and ~5k as a tip).

My bestfriend and I bought a card a few weeks ago when they were at 500k, and split the cost evenly.

I think we should make a list of PPTers that need the sidebar, that way, if anybody restocks a few and is feeling generous, they can send one to them.

Then only problem is people that receive multiple cards if the list isn't updated...

Can they be traded ?? Because if you restock more than one then send one on to get your sidebar, then trade the other to another person without one and then have them send it on, that way two people get the sidebar, rather than just one.

You might want to wait and shop snipe one. I'm not good at restocking, but I was able to get one in the shops on Valentine's Day mainly because they put them out in packs of 20 or 30 every time the shop restocked.

They also stock at the Igloo year round with about 10 each restock. I've gotten 3 or 4, but haven't done much restocking lately.

I thought waaaaay ahead of time and bought two half a year ago- one to sell, one to use. 23k each. :)

When the day comes, if anyone's willing to shell out 11k or so, I'll be happy to share it.

Really?! I've never seen a Valentine's card when I stumbled upon the Igloo during a restock, but maybe I was just too slow.



That's what I'll end up doing, I'm sure: if I grab any next Tuesday, I'll be selling them, no queston. I can wait a year for a sidebar.

I think it's a good idea to find another PPTer who needs the sidebar to send the valentine to. I have one myself and am not sure who to send it too. I'm not much for neofriends, I don't chat on the boards to make friends but I really like the people here.

The more I've seen you around here the better your chances are. I am a good restocker so Neopoints are not really an issue, i'm not asking for anything in return.
