Go here, log in, click UPGRADE and it will tell you that you have no service [if you've been cut off, like me]. Chose the service you want [premium web-pack $7.99/month], and you should be able to change billing method afterwards.

Ah, I see... when we do that does it just resume the service we were already on (ie all your referrals will be the same etc) or is it a start over situation?

Thanks very much btw, I've been running around like a headless chicken trying to figure out how I was going to switch if I get cut off ^^;

Trick wrote:If anyone knows how you can change your billing from paypal to credit card I would love to know :battar:

Because if I go to the change billing info in my user admin I get this:

Unhelpful page wrote:Note: For Non-EFT accounts, once your billing information has been accepted, the account will be set back to active.

Followed by a list of letters and numbers o_0

Firstly I thought it was a glitch like 3 weeks ago, turned out it WAS because of paypal and not TNT server glitch. From what I can gather there are issues between TNT and paypal.

I too had that same error message, my account was deactivated.

My billing day was yesterday and as soon as that come up I was locked out.

Firstly go into paypal and cancel your subscription to Velocity Services.

When you cancel that , youll get a Webmail saying your Billing Info has changed. Ignore the "Click here to change it" as there is nowhere to click.

The options to change billing info on the site didnt work for me, that error you have Trick continued to be there.

I had to use the Live Help Chat

It took 40 mins , but they took my credit card details and put them on file and reactivated my account.

I then checked my account and that message : For NON Eft etc. had been replaced with my credit card details.

Hope that helps.

SS:)

It tells me Referrals Left: 17, so everything is as it should be, and I spent 2 days without premium entirely before picking it back up.

I did the exact same thing and finally found a link to the premium user admin in the help chat [pure luck] and waffled around a bit until I found a way to switch billing :)

Thanks very much for all the info, I'm amazed at how hard it is to actually find all this out on the neopets site itself!

Hopefully I'll be able to switch my billing info like you did hallucinating and if not I'll go to the Live Help Chat (if anyone could point me in that direction I'd appreciate it ^^). I think I'll just copy/paste most of this page so I know what I'm doing x)

You'd think tnt would make an announcement or at least send an e-mail or something, I can see them losing a fair few customers over this.

Thanks again! :)

I'm very surprised that they did not send out emails to all premium users about this, or even mention it in the news or something :/ Having to run around getting information from other players isn't how it should be.

But anyway, I got my premium back and that's what matters. I immediately got a SHH email with a rare item too [rarity 92, wirth 69k], and I wonder if maybe it was triggered by 'coming back' to premium. It made me less frustrated anyway ;)

PS I have no idea how to get to the live chat either.

Thanks very much guys :) I found the live help chat so now I guess I just sit tight and wait for my premium to be suspended on my next billing date - what a mess!

Hehe, maybe that SHH was an apology item - it would certainly make me less frustrated too =D

Yes I am not sure if this true anymore after reading this post its true neopets would not just delete your account. They would email you first! It must have been a glitch for your account or something.

Did you read the entire post? I along with everyone else who had paypal set up as the way to pay for premium, lost our premium or will shortly be losing our premium, depending on the bill cycle. This is because neopets made the decision to stop accepting paypal as a form of payment - without telling us.

My account was not deleted, but my premium was cancelled by neopets and they did not tell me why. I had to find out on my own, and fix the problem.

Thats not good though neopets should send an email or some sort of notice. I would mad! :x

That really stinks. They should have given you guys a warning, or at least explained why your premium disappeared all of a sudden. :(

Me to premium rocks! :D

Where you live does have alot to do with what options are available to you. Here in the US most banks issue debit (ATM) cards that can be used as a credit card. The money comes out of the bank account just as if you used it as a debit, but you have the convenience of a credit card if a place won't take the debit.

Also, do your banks offer a gift card? or American Express? A gift card can be purchased for any amount and used as a credit card until the money runs out. Then you can "refill" it as needed.

Just a thought.

The whole paypal/Neo/VSI - who is really responsible and should be the ones notifying people - thing came down to people somehow scamming paypal (no, I don't know how) and ... this really shocked me ... there were a few people who were selling! premium accounts and using paypal.

I agree there should be notification in your webmail that there's a problem, or that your credit card is expiring, anything at all having to do with payments. Any other place would let you know. Why not VSI?

Thank you for the great information, I'll look into that right away.

But why would someone buy a Premium account o_O I just don't see the logic there at all...
