Chakra, all I can say is you were very lucky. Doing that, or anything else to weigh down the F5 key is considered the same as using an auto-refresher - which IS against the rules. I suggest you not post that anywhere on the site (boards/guild). Keep a low profile and don't do that again. I say that with the best of intentions, really.
As I posted earlier, Neo does know how many times you've refreshed in any given time period. And I do know someone who was frozen for refreshing too many times in a short amount of time. They said they were using the F5 key manually, and they may well have been. But it was too many too fast. They did not and will not get their account back. That was posted on a board by a programmer.

Meh, it's okay. Live by the rules, or die by them. I'll choose to stay in the system. Living on the edge never was my style, and though the sound of it...sounds...exilerating (i can't spell, sue me), I'll be safe. Can be a renegede outside Neopets if all else.
