for those of you that have gotten the new message, what order did you read your scrolls in.

There is a new message? I missed that although I swear I just read 11 pages thoroughly.

What is the new message?

I was just wonderin this myself, I think we're all just tryin out theories at the moment

Some people have gotten a new message mentioning Anubis Toxicology Reports, even though that was not the room they were in when they got the message. Now they're trying to find a reliable way for the rest of us to get the message as well as trying to figure out what the message means for the next step.

Well the main question I have if you are still around Dolphinling is did you read 12 scrolls or 8.

That will help a lot in narrowing things down.

So we have determined we only need to read 8 scrolls? Is that how some people are getting an "Anubis" message? Simple color subrtraction does not work, so we are considering Complementary Colors?

Also don't know if this has been mentioned: What if we used the color of the Wet Paint scroll racks to determine sequence?

I'm sorry to bother you guys, but I just got my first light and I'm a little confused about what to do with the card catalogs. I read the summary but i'm still not totally clear on it.

I tried once with Complementary already (my message about the possibility of doing something with them wasn't touched earlier, but oh well).

I tried converting the secondary colors to their complement which gave me all three colors... since the regular subtractive method gave me almost all blues and a red. I used the order of colors from the original crystal and the CCat colors as they are now but processed it as we did for the first crystal. Got no special messages out of it.

Fifth pattern I've tried today. o.O

First you match the lights up with your tablet. Then find out what the order of the 3 colors are on your crystal. Then in the order of the colors on your crystal, use the card catalogs to find the scrolls you need (symbols on the tablet in the order they are on the card catalogs).

Thanks for the report. Somehow I think the "color pattern" of the original crystal is now obsolete. I did, however notice that people's Wet Paint scroll racks order changed in sequence of color. I thought that might be the new (color sequence) key?

Are you sure you used the correct complimentary colors? (Red/Green; Blue/Orange; Yellow/Purple)? It's about the only thing I remember from high school art class.

Actually, in the sequence that Ian was testing, he only made it through 6 scrolls, so even the number of scrolls is uncertain at this point.

Hi and thanks supR ... I have no idea if I "got it", but your explanation of the colors actually makes some sort of sense to this old person. Can I try this combination on you?

1st: BYRR xxYB RBRx BYxY
2nd: GGOP xxYB RBOx GGxG

3rd: YBYB xxxx xxYx YBxB - this is using the subtraction of color theory

Yes, that is correct. We are trying things with the repeats still in the list as well. But you've definitely got the hang of it. ;)

i've apparently missed something. should i be keeping track of the types of doors i try for getting the spike trap? should i be going through them by color, symbol, what?

(another hour before i can try again)

Yes, the traps behind the doors remain the same. Some reported luck with green oval doors last night, and some report luck with doors bordering their fairie statue door. But, basically, it is trial and error.

okay, so I find the symbols in the catalog, then I go find a scroll somewhere in the repository right? My crystal pattern is byr, so I would read all the blue scrolls first, right? I'm trying to get this through my head here....

Yes, you would read all the blue scrolls first, then yellow, then red. (and in the order they are on the catalog, not the tablet.)

Definitely. I only tried one option... converting all the secondary to primary and keeping the other primaries. I went this way because it presented an identical matrix to the first time through so had the appeal of familiarity.

Yeah, I was thinking there was something up with the change in the CCats' color order. I played around with that on the first four things I played with. Used the 8-scroll ones (which gives me 7 blues and 1 red) and did generally what we did the first round with the current color setup with the Catalogs and then tried with the original color setup (testing the idea that the painting was something to throw us off). Got nothing out of those four either.

I know there's at least one more option to the complimentary one I tried... that would be ignoring the primaries that are present with both crystals and just complementing the secondaries. JUst after 5 times running around the Repository, I felt a break was in order. :)

And, yeah, the Catalog colors might give two more options to that one. A little daunting.
