Anyone else think its not fait that 1 player battledome apponents like scordax gets to use their scorchstone multiple multiple multiple times when we can only use ours once
I am not gonna be-able to be scordax - stupid multiple jade uses

When we were still pushing blocks, I frequently saw top battlers' pets pop up. One in particular seemed to be everywhere I went. 50 hitpoints isn't so low that week old players will be able to do much but get smacked around, but it's also not so high that you couldn't squeeze out one win if you've been around a couple months. How all this calculates into our mysterious invisble point total is something we won't know until its all over.

oh my. the challengers finally appeared on my list. i just got beaten by the spirit. he only had 3 hp left. :(

i only have one pet, and she is not a battler.

Well a small consolation is that TNT keeps releasing the news a day early, which saves me from having high expectations when I wake up!!

Sure. It's not fair. But its infeasible to expect TNT to implement the system the way you want it to be. You'd have to save space for each instance of each opponent for all players in Neopia, then save its state for each round over and over... *shrug* You just got to deal with it

However, these guys don't leave much room for the average player to battle.

That's why I'm not so sure they will be involved in the point calculation. Each activity thus far left room for upwards of 5000 players to actively participate. do you think that many will be able to amass many point fighting these two? Maybe I'm just naive. I know there are some super pets out there. But how many super pets's owners are involved in the plot?

All other wars have given points from fighting the challengers, so why would this be different in that respect?

I don't think it matters how many can fight or what points they get. In my first battle, I got 5 points, but it was enough for a trophy.

This way of doing a plot - having puzzles and battles, just makes it a little fairer to those who can't amass a lot of points in a war by fighting. But the challengers will count towards a total.

Can you imagine the scene that the BDC'ers would put on if they didn't get points for fighting? :D

oh well - just got my but kicked - my pet maxed out at 63 damage per shot

There's also a bit of balance when they aren't able to use items they generate. Still, I think the worst is when they choose to give a challengers a full heal, full block, and 100% freezer. One invincibility power is more than enough.

This fighting is different than fighting in prior wars, in that there was no "recruitment center", there are still other "normal" challengers in the battledome. During a war, isn't the battledome almost shut down?

When Qasalan mummy showed up, we didn't all run to the battledome as if he was part of the plot. We knew he was associated, but called him part of Defenders of Neopia. What makes these guys so much different?

Has it even been confired that this is plot related fighting? Good money says yes, but it is natural to be doubtful. Oh well, this is only complaints from a person that got a max of 5pts in the last 'fighting-only' war. C'est le vie.

Edit: Oops! Forgot something I meant to say. I'm also thinking that they will be announced as fighters on Friday (I hope).

As they have a direct connection to the plot then we can probably presume that this is the start of the war, even though it is vastly different from any of the other wars.

This is an excerpt from an editorial:
Basically rather than just having a war to decide who gets what, there will be many puzzles, many fights and some other challenges for you to do in order to earn points.

It says - many fights, so maybe it wont be a full-out war, but just battles with the "bad guys" throughout the plot.

I hope that isn't directed at me. I am not complaining, just stating that it doesn't require a big score to get something out of the war.

AHH! I didnt know that the war had started yet. OMG i never got snowballs, i am totally inprepared!

Oh well, my dual lupe swords will have to do

Okay, I know I posted this before, but I really wanted help, and I'm not sure that people will be looking at the previous splits for things to reply to!!!!
I REALLY need help with training my pets. Here's the basic run-down of my pets:

Lupe:
Lvl : 10 Str : 14 Def : 19 Mov : 14 Hp : 10 / 10
Strength : great Defence : godly Move : cheetah

Lupe (newest pet):
Lvl : 2 Str : 6 Def : 8 Mov : 7 Hp : 12 / 12
Strength : average Defence : average Move : average

Kougra (fav. pet!, most likely to fight with):
Lvl : 14 Str : 19 Def : 16 Mov : 17 Hp : 21 / 21
Strength : titanic Defence : bulletproof Move : mach 1

Ixi:
Lvl : 7 Str : 17 Def : 16 Mov : 22 Hp : 21 / 21
Strength : titanic Defence : bulletproof Move : GREAT (22)

How do I get my pets stronger?
What equipment do people suggest?
How do I increase HP?
What can I do to actually be able to fight? I took my strongest pet against the spirit and lost FAST!

If someone could post(beneficial for all of us trying to get ready!)/neomail/e-mail/ppt personal message me and PLZ HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! that'd be GREAT!

So is it ok to battle then? Now I'm guessing battling is jus tlike puzzle, you just fight and TNT won't tell you jack of what's going on.

Guess TNT finally did switch over to please the battlers. Blech! I hope users don't start that rank thing on the neoboards again.

Oh no! That was just being thrown out there. I'm horrid in battle! Sorry.

I'm still betting that we will have another puzzle or something else to do. The city ain't back yet, so we may get to find a way to help bring it back. I also hope there will be an open declaration of hostilities, not just an executive order. I mostly want to do the support role again :D . Basic military 101: Amatuers study tactics.
