I had something happen like this back when all prices were recorded on the shop transactions. I had found a cherry neocola or something like that for some ridiculously low price, like 2 nps. So, I bought it. I then got this neomail from the person apologizing in advance for my possible freezing. Seems the kid she was babysitting for was messing around with the items in her shop and mispriced it. Then after seeing that I had bought it, the kid reported me to Neopets. So, I wrote Neopets about it and explained this bizarre story. And, got a neomail from the Neopets Team telling me not to worry about it. That they checked out things thoroughly before taking any action. Obviously this was a long time ago. But, I think it still applies.

ssandgirls, you won't get frozen for this. But, this person should be--because it sounds like a scam to me. And very similar to something that happened to me a few weeks ago with a happy negg. Though she never said she'd report me. However, she was insistent that I give her back the negg. And, I told her that if she wanted it, she'd have to go through the TP for it. Which she complained about. But, she ended up doing. Have to wonder if it isn't the same person.

If someone misprices something in their shop, it is their loss. I am a nice guy and, if someone contacts me about it, I will put the item in trade for the same price. And, on occasion, when I see something that is clearly an accidental mispricing, like lacking a zero, I have bought it and neomailed the person about the mistake and offered to sell it back to them. Usually they smile and say, keep it, it was my mistake. That's my conscience getting the better of me.

But, I never give back things that have been mispriced. Never. They can either pay me back what I paid or suffer the loss.

I think after the last disaster I had getting frozen for unknowingly accepting scammed items in the trades, Im just so scared something is going to happen.

It worried me that this girl could have mailed TNT and said Id scammed her or something stupid, and then it would have been her word against mine.

She did end up neomailing back to say that she found my negg in her inventory, and thanked me, I didnt get my 2222 back from her either...

Recently I had to remove the parental controls as we joined premium, so Ive had very little exposure to neomail, or anyone being able to make contact with me. Its a real eye opener, its like a different world now.. and I think I prefer it as an under 13 account...LOL..

I cant believe the weird neomails I get, nor the amount of them, ... Why, I cant work out...... Is that usual? LOL...

So yes, least this episode has ended and Ive learned alot now, thanks to all the kind ppl on PPT...

SS, I don't blame you for being nervous after the freezing incident. And, hey, you are just getting started with those neomails. Oh my. They can be a trip. The neomails I have gotten asking me to give them a negg or a faerie or to sell it to them for 50 nps. Or my favorite, the girl who wondered if I needed a babysitter. And she lived a couple states to the west of me. Gave me her full name and tiny town she lived in. Get ready, SS, they are out there in droves.

But, there is a handy little block button for anyone who annoys you. One push and you never have to deal with that person ever again. My block list is miles long.
