Well, I must be a glutton for punishment ... I just spent I don't know how many hours making a poster and entering it. Just once I'd like to place -- not even win, though that would be wonderful.
The hardest part was having to repeatedly stop myself from going into 50's sci-fi/rhps mode.

Which is awesome, by the way! I saw it at a press screening just over a month ago. After that I had to buy and watch the Firefly DVDs (I'd never seen the show before that). I went to a Serenity panel at Comic-Con '04 and saw Joss Whedon and the whole cast in person, and I felt like a bad Jossverse fan for not understanding half the things they were talking about.
I like the posters that have been submitted so far! I have no talent for such things, so I'm just gonna sit back and wait for another writing contest. I'm okay with my third-place trophy for now.

Ah, Anoohilator if only I'd known there was an "official" font ... I just looked at my entry again and I don't think it's even going to be considered. Why? I forgot to put my username on it! *headdesk* And once you've entered, there's nothing on that page for resubmission or even to contact them.

I'm not that great at drawing, so do you think they'd accept a poster made completely of stuff they already have?

Elric, I used all neo-images and manipulated/recolored/resized/cropped, etc. I am the worst at drawing. They'd never know what the heck it was supposed to be even if I explained it if I drew it!
