i'm finally catching up! hve 4 pieces so far waiting for tomb to re open for fifth

maybe the The Discarded Magical Blue Grundo Plushie of Prosperity has something to do with this plot.

I doubt it, that thing has been there for ages.

Other random things to ponder:

When asked about the plot in this week's editorial, Donna said, "We are hoping it will be super-ultra-extra hard to solve. Its hard to make a puzzle with millions of people working to solve it though, I am sure some people will get certain parts easily. The parts really are quite varied, and you just need to figure out what you have to do to progress." Perhaps we have completed the "easily" part and now "just need to figure out what you have to do to progress."

Will the plot be "locked" soon? Other plot avatars have been retired after a certain number of people have gotten them. TNT seems to be going out of their way to avoid that and include people from all time zones. Perhaps there is a deadline, after which you will no longer be able to receive parchments, thus limiting the avatar and saving the last part of the plot (and the biggest reward) for those that have kept up all the way through.

What grand occasion was the Princess planning to annouce?

The scrolls found inside each library door were random in the beginning, then locked to a specific door corresponding to the actual item scroll's descriptions, with the release of the tablet pieces. Why? Is this significant? Are the titles significant as well?

Why does our pet understand the scroll matching the statue's sumbol? Is the statue's symbol significant somewhere else as well?

The prophecy we were given upon translating our tablet does not end in a period and has already come true, yet the statue continues to ask for a prophecy. Could it be only the beginning of a much longer prophecy?

What's up with the fortune teller's crystal ball? Why does she remind us that we can view the tablet again? Do we NEED to?

And the pile of scarabs? What's that about? I thought scarabs represented the good guys! Is there a reason we are stuck in the statue room (even though you CAN get out)? Is there something else we are supposed to do here? Finish the prophecy, maybe......

I believe this might simply be a hint that its what you need to tell the statue, which we already know - but I could be wrong.

UPDATE: WAIT! What if thats the second part of the prophecy!?

UPDATEx2: Ok, I can't test this right now, but I have a wierd feeling that you have to tell the statue (after your covered in scarabs), "Marry Me" or something. I'm locked out for another 30 minutes or so, so yeah.

i still cant find my statue. the riddle says Thunderous clouds obscuring the sky, and The apect of a star. according to maraqua.net, i need a black pentagon. it says the chart is a bit wrong. did the chart work for anyone else.

Since my translation read "The prince of Qasala will cause the disappearance of the great city," after I got scarab'd I tried reversing it: "The great city will cause the disappearance of the prince of Qasala." No dice.

Great idea! Maybe theres some sort-of pattern where you reverse certain words and put them all in order.

Heres something from mine that might sound interesting:

(from The ancient prince will make vanish the desert capital)

The prince will make the desert capital vanish.

or perhaps take away "vanish" and he has made the desert capital... maybe the new desert capital will be Qasala!

It seems to work for everyone. (The comment about the chart being wrong was referring to a different interpretation of the verse lines, which did not pan out.)

Remember, your temple (like everyone else's) will have 12 black, pentagon-shaped doors, one for each hieroglyph. It's a matter of trial-and-error to find which of those 12 conceals your statue. I found mine behind the 11th yellow oval I tried.

On a side note: I am not at all convinced it's really a statue. The Fire Faerie is alive and well on the trading card -- perhaps she (like The Darkest Faerie in the upcoming PlayStation plot) has been turned to stone, and we need to free her.

Can someone upload to the forums or post the link to which it has all the symbols and their names.

ok thx hidden. i was just starting to lose hope. after you get scarab'd, nothing else happens does it. is there anytrhing else after that i would have to do.

No nobody seems to have figured out what to do after the scarabs. Unless they're not telling us Which would be very mean. So just speculate away with us what the next step would be.

My map is done, I'm on tablet piece #10, and still NO statue.

Is it supposed to be behind one of the tablet piece doors? It's not in any of my three libraries.

And wow....that thunking noise is my head hitting the table in awe of my stupidity.

I looked for two days for piece #9, only to finally realize it was the second symbol on the first page after entering the tomb. I'd looked at those symbols sooo much lately it never dawned on me it could be easy to find what I was looking for.

Thank you again and again to everyone who has provided so many up to date and helpful hints with this plot. As a casual Neopets user I was hesitant to try to follow the story but a kind neopian led me to this site and I can actually particiapte this time!
