I won my very first piece today. For the faerie land map (1:1).
I am going to try and collect them all... or do you think I'm better off selling them?

I think this is the best plan, actually: collect all the pieces of a map, but don't convert it. Instead, find out which piece sells for the most, and sell that one piece. Then go play the game and earn it again. Then sell it again. Keep doing this until you get tired of it or want to convert your map or whatever. I think this is what I'm gonna do with the Tyrannian one (six pieces left to collect!). Some of the pieces go for 70-80K.

I'm still confused...
If you get all the map pieces and then trade them in, can you earn new map pieces from the same region again? (I.E. with Treasure map, you can collect it multiple times)

I haven't gotten a confirmation yet, but rumor is that once you convert a map, you can no longer earn pieces of it. So I've collected all of Tyrannia, but I've just been removing one piece at a time, selling it, earning the piece back, removing and selling a different one, earning it back, etc. Eventually I'll probably cash the full map in... but this is a good moneymaker for now. I sold six map pieces (separately -- some Meridell, some Tyrannia) for a total of 200K today.
I noticed that if 14 people are playing, the top 4 now get map pieces. Has this been changed? I'm happy about it, in any case, because I was in fourth and got bumped up to a prize position in Volcano Run at the last minute!

I'm sorry to bother here but.. ¿Where is that competition? Because I fail to find it...

No bother at all. It's
right here, and you can also get to it by clicking the green "world challenge" button beneath any eligible game.

Actually it doesn't seem to work quite that well... some games that are part of WC dont' have the button, while others, like Mootix Drop, do.
The thing wiht 14 players increasing the number of winners has always been there... it keeps going up, though I'm not sure of the rate. It might not be the same for all the games either.

They seem to have made the ratio better, 36 people were playing a game of hassee bounce, and 10 get map peices! Way better than the four it was origanly.

They moved snowmuncher from Faerieland to Terror Mountain. So I have 2 faerieland bits and now a couple of TM bits.
Sigh.. I will never be able to finish the faerieland map lol

I think they've all been sorted out. What other ones are not showing up correctly?

No you can not. I converted the Terror Mountain one and can confirm this as true. You can see some screenshots of the conversion here if you like, although they aren't much to look at.

Once you convert a pic the pieces stay in your gallery and it will not allow you to remove them. You cannot win anymore pieces for that world either.
I'm sure that you have noticed the fact that when you win a piece it does not go into your inventory but directly into your gallery. So if your gallery has all 20 pieces of a converted pic that can not be removed, when you win another one of those pieces you don't get a double of it you just get nothing.
Actually it is a good idea to remove every piece from your gallery as soon as you get. If you only have piece 5 in there and then win another WC and get piece 5 again, it won't give you a second piece 5, you will just get nothing.

a good tip is to not try to amass a massive legion of points.
4 will do most of the time, depending on the number of people present.
(for me to lose now, seven people would have to gain a total of nine points between them, with two minutes to go. i sopped working on points when i went down to four, fearing that i would be my own downfall)

It won't try to give you piece 5 if it's already in there, though. It only gives you pieces where there are empty spots. I've been making a pretty nice profit by collecting the entire Tyrannia map, removing the most expensive pieces, selling them, and then re-winning them. I usually have only one or two empty squares at a time.
On a related note: if anyone wants to trade a full map of any land (besides Tyrannia) for the full Tyrannia one, let me know.
