Popples... were they the ones you could turn inside-out? I vaguely remember Disney making something like that at around the same time as the Wuzzles.

But yeah, I agree...one could take nearly any sweet-puff 80's cartoon and find *some* sort of similarity...:P

Ex...Shirt Tales:

The get along gang: (I swear one of them is a Lupe, and if Dottie the dog had her ears sticking straight up and tied together she'd look like an usul...Heh...)

Come on guys you are making me feel so old, I miss shirt tales the most! BTW, Bogey was my fave!

And this is a little off topic but how many of you remember this cartoon?

What was the point in posting a spelling lesson? What does it matter if they spelled it wrong?

*Remember* Jem? OMG...I *lived* Jem. O_o I had every doll (except for the 3 Stinger's dolls and the orpanage kids)...the rockin' roadster, the K-Jem studio...I watched that show religiously. :o

I wanted to be like Pizzazz of the Misfits so bad. :( Mom and dad wouldn't let me dye my hair green though...*sigh*

I'm sure I'm the oldest one of the bunch here...heh. I remember EVERYTHING 80's...sadly.

I remember getting my Jem doll for christmas. I used to get frustrated because I could never get Jem to turn back into Jerrica. Her hair would never stay in the stupid hat! That and she dwarfed all my Barbies. heh heh

I don't know whether to be saddened more by the fact that I'll probably never see many of the cartoons that I saw as a kid again, or by the fact that today's so-called "cartoons" are so despicably ugly and stupid. Probably the latter.

Edit: Do you see now why there's so many ... "newbies" all over the place? Our generation grew up with cartoons with basically good morals, trying to teach us good things, they were well drawn, and we had programs like Reading Rainbow, Sesame Street, Mr. Rogers, Square One TV, Schoolhouse Rock, etc. to teach us valuable things.

Nowadays, kids are brought up thinking cartoons like Ed, Edd, and Eddy are hilarious, that the Powerpuff Girls cartoon is well-drawn, and etc. *prevents himself from going on a rant*

Yeah, I can see how these topics get a lot of long posts. Unfortunately, I don't think we can change things until we have our own kids and buy the DVDs of the cartoons and shows that we used to watch for our kids to watch.
