Eww. Icky. It looks like a swimming piece of dung, literally. It's got virtually no shading, definition, or even the tiniest hint of fur. The color is the epitomy of dull and there's nothing inspiring about this pet at all. Why choose this pale imitation over a similar and hugely less expensive pet, like the Tyrannian tuskaninny? Just...eww.

You took the words right out of my mouth. :P

I agree. Good idea, awful execution. And with the dark lupe-eyebrows, it looks perpetually angry in all of its poses.

...wow :o I really don't know if I like this lupe or not. It's just...different. At first I thought I hated it, then I thought it was kind of cute, and now I really don't know. If it wasn't for the lupe face, I wouldn't have even known it was a lupe. I like the bubbles in the battle poses though. :P

I like it. Who says a pet needs to be all fancy just because it's Maraquan? It looks like a seal, but it has enough lupe touches that you know it's a lupe. And lupes are supposed to look stern, so that works for me, too. I much prefer this over something like the Maraquan kougra or gelert (talk about a neat idea but horrible execution...).

I totally thought that was a Maraquan Lutari.
Looks so much like one.

Maraquan Jubjub and Lupe

The JubJub looks like its got curlers and the lupe looks like they slapped a lupe face on a seal.

Ditto!

I've been saying for ages that the Maraquan Lupe should be seal-like, and this almost exactly how I pictured it (granted, in my mind, I did picture it to be a little more feral).

Honestly, if I had a Lupe (and the money to buy a Maraquan Paintbrush) this would so be the look I'd go for.

Oh, and Huggles, as a minor point of contention, seals generally don't look furry underwater so I'd be extremely disappointed if they decided to "fluff" the Lupe up any.

Awesome! It's more like a sea-lion instead of a seal (I think). Definately very cool...

Yea, you're right. Sorta. It's an Otarid (eared) seal, which includes sea-lions and fur-seals. They're the ones they generally use in aquatic performances because they have the ability to sit-up, unlike their cousins, the Phocid seals.

HeHe. Random piece of useless scientific knowledge for everyone.

I didn't mean fluffy so much as just ANY sort of texture. Really, anything.

kinda scary looking. It has a very big neck and a small head. But I like the middle and right pics. The right one looks like it is embarassed.

I'd be embarrassed, too, it I had that range of motion in the battledome... how does he even reach his enemies with those stubbly fins? The tail seems much more appropriate a weapon..

I think it needs more texture, or markings.. something to make the main body not look so ... dull.
Otherwise, I like it. ^^ It's a very interesting Lupe.

MY version of a Maraquan Lupe.... :P

I definitely like it better with more texture.

I love the maraquan lupe! I just love everything about it. It's simple and understated... and I love it! Have I used the word love enough? <3

Hooray for top notch maraquan pets!
