Clear this up for me please

Things aren't as simple as they seem to be most of the time. If people are allowed to use Neopets' graphics and sell for money/ neopets, this would result in many cases of graphics thefts and conflicts as many people will rush in to make some fast bucks. Not only a money concern for Neopets but their reputations as well.

Nobody has mentioned the artists, I'm quite surprised by that.

How would you like to be an artist and work for a company that just hands out your work to be hacked up by a zillion people?

...Nevermind the impossibility of Neopets ever protecting any of their property in a court of law should they just let people do whatever they please with Neopets creations.
