You know, if our Neopets just hatch from eggs without parents, you have to wonder where those eggs come from...they can't simply appear out of nowhere.

They grow on trees.

And I suppose each Neopet spawns a tree?

That has got to leave some nasty splinters.

That leaves the question ...who came first the Neopet or the egg ?

This is more or less TNT telling us:

"Heh heh, we screwed up, so now you can have tons of fun pulling every little detail of our creatures apart until someone tells you that we can't be bothered fixing the mistake and that we're too concerned over our next TCG expansion to worry about it."

Or something like that, I guess.

But yes, I agree to some degree about the adoption theory amongst Neopian parents. But is it really a married partnership between them or just live-in partnerships?

...

Here we go again, my brain just packed up and told me to smeg off XD...

Isca's parents got married and were frozen for it.

Maybe it's better not to ask. In either case, someone is going to complain.

Meh, the way I dealt with the whole owner thing and neopet's parents is that they're put up for adoption for one reason or another. 2 of my pet's ran away from home and 2 were put up for adoption... I really am a tad obsessed aren't I? As for the whole death issue, and few neopedia articles have shown that death can in fact occur, it just never seems to occur from hunger loss or being beat up in the battle dome. Apparently the only things known so far that can kill them are the supernatural, old age, being devoured (at least I think the chias die...), and of course, acts of sloth... again, I think I'm over-analyzing this a tad :P

Neopets don't hatch, they are born of 1s and 0s in the dark corner of the neopets database.

"Create a pet" actually sounds more like WE would give birth to those Skeths..
