Neopets- I dont understand why petpetpets are so expensive?

I think the two key things are what shapu said about the Mootix avatar, in combination with the fact that once it's attached, you can't remove it. If you remove your petpet with an attached petpetpet, the petpetpet disappears.

Many things on Neopets are pointless anyway but they are still expensive. At least petpetpets can be equipped to your petpet, some things which do not have any use at all are even more expensive (though most are HTS).

I dun care for a petpetpet unless if my pet found one. Whoever find one will get to keep it. However, up to today, my pets found none.

I hate the Mootix too. It just seems so...annoying and pointless.
