Rather than griping about the situation (which I've already have said and now past it), sometimes you have to remember that they are only human in all of this. Sometimes things happen that prevent them from completeing certain tasks... I want to believe that this is the case more than them "slacking off" as some of you have put it.
I'll give them the fact that, they plannned something spectacular with the events invovled with Hannah (the plot, the war, the puzzle) and if executed properly it certainly would have been. Although most of these problems should not have occured and have been past it before, I hope they learn from this and make up the next plot by tenfold to make sure that they don't disappoint their players.

doesn't surprise me, either. They don't give two cents about anything but how much merch and advertising dough they can squeeze out of the site.
Inrun Edit: Edited your post. Please don't make reference to swearwords in that form. Even if you don't post your word out, bleeping it doesn't really leave much to the imagination.

In the meantime you can still look at the guests and what should have happened.
At least it gives them a reason to learn from errors and improve themselves. It's not great that it was cancelled, but it's good that they're willing to try to avoid it in the future.
They've were willing to avoid it after the Sloth Plot. They were willing to avoid it after Neoschools. I'm pretty sure they were willing after Guildmaster, Rebuilding of darigan, Thieves guild and that little outer space RPG that we got to watch the progress of.
We need less willing and more working.

How about replacing Adam and Donna bring in people who care will get things done? They should have never told us about neoschools, guildmasters dinner, plots, and more.

See I would disagree with that. I don't doubt that they work hard and they do a very good job with certain things. In terms of originality and coming up with ideas, they're great. Its when the task hits the executing phase that we have a problem. And a big problem at that.
There were personal problems when the Guildmaster puzzle was supposed to come out. They've mentioned that and I think people were sympathetic to that. However, personal problems shouldn't affect the entire Neopets staff. If Adam and Donna are unable to do something, there needs to be some sort of contingency plan. If Bill Gates comes down with the flu, Microsoft Inc, doesn't shut down for a day or two. (Talk about getting a virus

)
In any case, they're very good at the Big Ideas, but they're not business people and they need to realize that having the blueprints for a great product is not the same as actually getting that product on the shelves and to the customers.

With all due respect, I have a difference in opinion here. I think Adam and Donna need a promotion, and have more "creative rights" on the site.
I really don't see Adam and Donna as the problem, but erm...other people involved with the site. I think Adam and Donna are the two who get a whole lot of undeserved flack and are some of the only people who really CARE what's going on.
You're entitled to your opinion of course, but I had to throw my two cents in.

They need to stop promising things in advance and start just surprising us with them. If they'd never announced Neoschools or the Sloth plot, we never would have known they were canceled. If they had actually gone ahead, we would have been pleasantly surprised.
Here's hoping they don't screw up the Maraqua plot.

What I don't understand is why would you start creating a logic puzzle and put the first clues up on the site before you've completed the puzzle?? As an avid puzzler (and I've created plenty of my own puzzles), I am, shall we say, "puzzled" by this.
I guess that time in the News a couple months ago when Donna asked everyone to click on the link to remind Adam to put up new clues didn't work.

oh! logic puzzle! you stole my heart!!

Here's hoping they actually plan the Maraqua plot out, start to finish, before they begin it. If they actually put down on paper a list of everything they want to do, and how to do it, before they start implementing it, they'll have a lot more success.
I didn't follow the Guildmasters Dinner plot; I guess I kind of figured it would be a no-go. I just don't understand, though, how they didn't have an action plan for it-- every clue laid out, and the answer known before they ever started it. Then it would just be a simple matter of updating the pages to put the new clues on, and running a script to accept and judge answers and give prizes.
I'm not now and never have been a TNT basher, but this kind of thing makes me feel kind of let down. This is a job for people that work at Neopets... not a hobby. It might have started out as bored college kids putting up a web page for scoots and giggles, but now it's a business. I don't understand why with all the people on the payroll, it isn't even one person's job to make sure that content that is begun is finished.

I completely agree. Goodness knows that they have made plenty of mistakes in the past and they had more than enough chances of "learning from their mistakes".
Don't they know what "planning" means? They should plan every step of a plot and set realistic deadlines for each stage of it, warning or even firing those staff who do not meet deadlines. Rather than plunging into something without contemplating whether the plot is feasible or not.

Ugh I am so angry about the dinner being cancelled. I made my own little chart on Adobe and everything. Maybe if they'd stop spending so much time manufacturing plushies for limited two and negotiating ad placements they'd have time to actually work on the site. Shouldn't they have had the clues done with before they started putting them up?

You know what I see happening here? The marketing guys at Neopets inc. are breathing down Adam and Donna's necks, telling them to hurry up and maket he plots so that they co-incide with the TCG.
This is NOT the fault of Adam and Donna. I mean, why would you screw up something you spend time on working on? The Hannah Plot had potential. A lot of it. But I'm guessing those in higher authority told Adam and Donna that it needed to be out ona certain date, finish on a certain date. But what do you expect? Some people, especially those with little understanding of the site, expect quantity over quality. Those marketing guys couldn't give a damn if the plot was great or mediocre or downright dissmal. So long as there was a plot and people were clicking on the page, and buying their products, they were happy. That's my theory at least.
So Adam and Donna = 1337ness
Marketing guys and Doug Dohnut = Honourary pain in the donkey

It surprises me how people can have such a clear understanding of the inner workings of Neopets Inc... you do need facts to support your statements you know.

I have to say I do appreciate the honesty from TNT on this, finally.
Word to avvelenare... though we don't pay for neopets (a defense that is used, sometimes fairly, when it disappoints), it is a paying job for the people who are making promises about half-begun projects and then scrapping them. If I did that at my job, I wouldn't have a job for long.
I also agree that the marriage of content updates to merchandising seems to be the source of the problems. I hope they manage to get that worked out better. I don't mind at all if content is related to merchandise, as long as it's properly planned out.
