Yes, having to deal with the under 13's that idle while battling may be an inconvienience but I personally think it would be unfair to ban all the under 13's (parent consent or not) from the Battledome. They're already restricted enough on Neo without something else being added. Not only that, but unlike them being banned from the Boards the ban from the Battledome would be a new implementation and they'd know about the removal. If bans were placed on the under 13's for the Battledome they'd pretty much be driven off the site, no Boards, no Neofriends, restrictions on games, no Battledome, etc etc etc - it just wouldn't be fair!

Perhaps if people have that many issues with Battling those under 13 they should either stop 1-player battling or check their opponents age before commencing the battle. Create your own ban on under 13's.

Frankly, I like some of the ideas that other people have suggested particularly watericesage's.

There are better ways around it. For example, neopets could implement a system where if the opponent does not make a move for X time, it automatically takes you to the next turn.

Not sure of the ins and outs of current system, but something like that would force them to move or lose for sure. That way everyone is punished equally, not just the sore losers under the age of 13 ^^;

Edit: Ah well, someone else had that sensible idea before I could post it. That'll teach me.

I am 13, but on Neopets and when I joined, i was younger, and I said I was older, I wanted to be able to use neomails and chat and everything

And I never withdraw from battles, so stop being so sterotypical of young kids, kids under 10 maybe, but not 12 and 13.

I had that happen with me. I got in the battledome and the person didn't enter for days. It was annoying because I could't neomail them or send battledome challenges without using preset options.

I eventually withdrew when I finally realized I wasn't going to be penalized.

Agree. TNT should have a time limit so no matter what the battle will end in a limited amount of time.

The battle ends after 10 mins since you can withdraw. Under 13s aren't all bad. I just got killed by one with a sword of skardsen and honey potion and h4K

Well I am 12 but since I played Neopets for quite a long time I NEVER withdraw or keep my opponent waiting. I know some of the newbs (NOT ONLY THE UNDER 13 ONES) do not move and it is annoying, but it isn't fair to say under 13 are all withdrawers.

once i found out my challenger was a 14 hp peophin

it stood no chance against my techo, but still it fought till the end

BUT

after the battle a flotsm with 10 more hp than my techo came to avenge the defeated peophin...it ws a draw...

when pple join neopets most of them says that they are over 13...becouse of the restriction under the "under 13" catergory...haha...

having a time limit should be the best solution...
