So this isn't just a "people aren't interested" thing. Trust me, I've bought plenty of furniture over the last few weeks: prices have plunged, as I said, literally overnight. Something must have happened to cause it.

Yes I know I cant believe it, which is why I started this thread, so we might be able to get some insight into it.. It has me stumped.. LOL...

The same thing happened to me. I sold a fire Faerie oven for round the 22K on Friday night, Saturday morning they had plunged down to 5K.

Not quite the same, as I didn't sell mine before they dropped. :-(

I'm seeing the same thing, too... lots of the same thing in a shop for cheap. That's what's making me think glitch (see my edit above) and I just hope that buying other people's deflated furniture of the Wiz isn't considered exploitation.

The prices on the faerie furniture are just unheard of too, wow, thats so low... .....

But sadly, not the Faerie Fridge. At least, they may be lower than usual (I haven't been keeping track) but they're still more than I want to pay for something that's such an ugly pink... my kitchen is going to have to remain fridgeless.

That is what worries me most... until you posted about those mats I wasnt even aware there was a glitch.. Its on the wiz, so there to be purchased, how is anyone to know if an item is an exploited one? its impossible.

though if you think of it, the number of items that are effected and the sheer number of users buying and selling without knowledge of any glitch... must be huge......

wow

If people are selling duped items, that would explain the sudden increase in the number that are being sold.

Huh. That would explain a lot, although it's not happening to me, at any rate... I just took a few things out of my Neohome (not with intent to dupe them, just in the normal course of re-arranging) and didn't end up with any more bamboo mats than I'd bought in the first place.

That would also explain why it seems to be only furniture items. (Dunno if garden items are delfating as well, I'm not as good with those as it's been longer since the last time I played with my garden.)

There do seem to be some items deflating a lot more than others, though.

Now I don't know if I should keep playing with my Neohome tonight or just leave well enough alone.

it's the same with gardening stuff. I report the glitch in the weekend and no news as yet.

Wow. I just bought a Light Faerie Oven and then read the rest of this.. :P

So there is 4,900 NeoPoints down the drain, because I discarded it and deleted my cookies.. just incase, you know?

Thanks guys.

Oooh... do you think we really have to do this? I bought a fair amout of stuff before I realized that this wasn't just some strange market flux (I don't pretend to understand how the Neopian economy works) and I really don't want to have to get rid of it all.

Mon Feb 07, 2005 3:31 am

Thats the thing, there is no way to tell if you are buying duped stuff or not, so I cant see that having to get rid of it would be the answer.

I bought a lot as well, what Ive done, rather than do anything with it at this stage is just put it into my SBD at the time when you first posted about the mats, ( alerting something was indeed wrong) and if TNT do anything, well then directing them to this thread may help, as at least we now know there is something wrong, and arent taking advantage of the situation since finding out..

Thats about all I can think to do, though someone else might have other suggestions. But since the wiz and TP obviously contain both genuine and duped items, and many sellers have probably reduced their prices as well since the deflation how do we know which are which... the items I have might not have been duped but possibly a furniture seller who dropped his prices to compete as well.....

its sure a mess.

I don't know if I really needed to do that or not, but I only bought one thing so it wasn't that big of a deal for me. I'm paranoid, so I might have done that for no reason.

I had come across some cheap furniture while Shop Wiz'ing for something else last week (before the glitching apparently began, and in a shop with other objects equally low priced) and this weekend was getting around to put them in my shop. Now I've taken them back out (repriced them to 0) lest people think they were glitch-created.
