Jelly of flight, your making the same mistake. it's prejudice. Just because 1 10 Year Old tries to sound big dosent mean they all do. Just try to not put people's age, color, gender etc. into thier character and you wont end up like that guy OK?

By the way, i'm 10 :(

A&A&A&A&A&A&A&A&A root beer. what? it has caffieene?...

That actually offends me. The bit about 12 year olds.

It's ageist. Just because some random 12 year old 1337 txt typ3r has no sense, doesn't mean every 12 year old is an idiot.

I wouldn't be surprised if that person was a 10 year old trying to sound big.

But not even 8 year olds act like that.

Me too! I'm 12.. *nibbles cracker, making crumbs everywhere*

That is really rude, but atleast there are some nice people like you. Thanks for being so considerate.

I think you are a bit confused. Jelly was just randomly choosing an age and saying THAT person could very well be A 10-year old that wanted to sound mature. He/she never said anything about the whole 10-year old population, just randomly referencing an age and comparing it to that one person, who may or may not be 10. She/he did not mention anything bad about anyones age, just certain people in the range of that age group (and any age group for that matter) can be real (what you sit on)s.

I agree. In my lifetime, I have met some really mature 10 year olds--people who had wise souls at a very young age--and some really immature 60 year olds--who acted like big babies because they didn't get their way.

Omni, I don't understand the attraction some people have to the boards--like a moth to a flame. They are so much worse than even a year ago. I personally think that TNT should either get rid of them completely or hire enough people to monitor them continuously.

My advice: Don't. Post. On. The. Boards. Ever.

Amen to that! It doesnt matter what you write there, someone, somehow will find offence in it. And at the moment it is only that one person needed to get you warned/frozen.

Part of the reason I go to the NeoBoards is that I want to give my jelly away in the way I think best, and that's to the people who I think deserve it. I still have 572, and I was getting rid of it fast until they warned me for making official giveaway boards. If somebody, anybody wants any, neomail me (Still one per person :P).

Another part of it is that I like to watch some of the fights that go on (Which I have more sense than to participate in). Think of it like reality TV- You see normal people do stupid things, and people who think they're better do the same things, only 10 times as bad (For example, take ten random Help Chatters who tell off someone for spamming or say "reported!!1", thus generating ten pointless messages and create ten times as much spam). I'm sure that most of you could agree that it's amusing to watch their behavior sometimes. Yes, it is like a moth to a flame, like you said, Morningstar, and I'm afraid I can't help myself sometimes.

Of course, another reason is that there's GOOD in the NeoBoards. It's rare that you'll find it, but occasionally there are good people who do great things and people who DO not act immature, foolish, or are ignorant. It's these people who you look out for. Yes, PPT offers plenty of these same people (;)), but I just find that people don't post very often here (relative to the NeoBoards). People here are polite, mature, (usually) intelligent (Of course, there are a few exceptions, such as mys- Err, scratch that), and your posts are always helpful and welcoming, but there comes a point when I miss seeing the insanity of the NeoBoards.

It's like an addiction. You know it's risky, but you do it anyway. If not for all the lunatics who report for trivial reasons and monitors who give the reporters the benfit of the doubt, maybe people would go there and be active more often, but the NeoBoards aren't and probably never will be perfect. But still I find myself drawn to the kindness of some of the people there and the amusing nature of the others. People probably have and probably will continue to report me for spamming or giveaways, etc. because they assume the worst much too quickly, and it is these people who have taught me never to be like them in that respect.

I only intend to make these visits while I still have jelly that's at room temperature, and by the time I get rid of it all or it falls below 32 degrees for no legitimate reason, I'll probably be sick of the NeoBoards by then.

My stubbornness to keep to what I have already arranged for these jellies keeps me from just giving them out randomly, and my paranoia about money tree thieves keeps me from putting it there, so I just give it to people around the Help Chat, because that, of course, is very likely where the most helpful people are. Of course, it is also one of the best places to find anti-spam zealots, Report-Happy Hyperactive NeoBoard Police, spammers, and scammers, but it's a price I'm willing to pay to lend a few folks a hand and give something nice to nice people.

Once again, any of you are more than welcome to neomail Felrum_jelly_cube for a free piece of jelly, and the last one I give away will be a Jolly Green Jiggling Jelly which is worth around 40k.

*reads Omni's post above* :P

Well heck dear, you need to ditch one out of the hundreds you can send one to me, account name same here as there...I'll stuff JubiNumo full of it. :)

And if you want, I've started compiling a list of people I saw while lurking the newbie boards...people who could actually use an extra jelly and seem pretty clueless about neo. If you want I can send ya some names via PM and you can suprise them. :)

Thats all I had to read...the HC isn't well known for its stimulating minds OR its charity. Most of the time they don't even answer legitimate questions, but will max out the posts in some stupid spam thread by stomping all over the poster repeating each other's flames.

There are some nice people in there, but I usually go to the BDC, AC or my guild to get questions answered (much less chance of getting iced that way :P)

Why didn't you report that person if you were insulted?

If your giving away jellies I'd be happy to help. My username is the same on neo and you can neomail myname7772 when your ready.

Edit: are you giving them away on the trading post?

Oh how depressing. You finally discover other people on the boards who can spell and punctuate...

...and they turn out to be a pi, self-righteous little twerp. Poor Omni! Good luck with the continued jelly giveaways - you can always bash one my way and I'll give it to Edoinidd. :)

Andyroonie, I think you misunderstood me a bit :) *hug*

I didn't mean offence to 10 year olds. In fact, I know a fair few people that are ver mature, but are 10.

I meant that it was probably someone (someone as in...1 person) trying to sound older. Not as in 'omg all u 10 yr 0ldz smeel cuz im 12 nd im big nd 'ard + stuff'. Just one person. :)

I'm sorry if I caused any offence. I'll go change it a little, meh :)

Which is precisely why I hang around HC and make a point to look up people's faerie quests and answer those legitimate questions. I've met some very nice people that way, and talk to them through neomail all the time now. The boards aren't all bad.

I won't lie, the begging and spamming get really really old. It's not the place for it. The "give me a p/b" posts are obnoxious and rude. Those begging for pets are clueless. They annoy me to no end, but I usually ignore them. I'm just a firm believer that in the time you're posting that message, you could be playing games to earn the things you want by yourself.

Heh, I'm 12 myself :D Anyway, I'd stay away from the chat. The two best ways to get frozen eventually are (other than spamming, cheating or scamming of course) going to the chat (where you're usually insulted or frozen at the end) and making guilds... that part is for me, at least :P I always get frozen SOMEHOW for no reason after I make guilds
