Ah... the joys of not paying for neo. And why i'll never pay for Neo.
I'm not about to pay for a tempermental website.
*shrugs*
They've probably got a fair bit of volume, considering it's holidays.
And with staff out, something may have just been building up.
Staff deserve a holiday too though. So to be honest, meh.
And I doubt anyone will get a refund for the whole month over one day when it comes to paying. Do you really want your thirty cents that much?

Guess they tried to upload things and screwed up. There were new mouse over scripts on the top bar right before the site went down and now they are gone. I guess they are working today afterall.

After the last down time that was 24 hours...I would have been mighty upset if this down time was just as long. So yes, I probably would have wanted some kind of compansation for that. When I had problems with my hosting company, they credited me for a month...I would expect Neopets to have the same kind of buisness practices when it comes to downtime on their site.

I have a feeling that for 24 hours of downtime, I doubt neo would reimburse for a whole month. They'd lose massive amounts of money doing that. And then what? We'd probably only end up with more downtime on the site.
Since I am not a portal player, I am curious. Did you recieve anything in the mail or some sort of contract agreement with reguards to what happens during site downtime?
*shrugs* I feel that personaly downtime happens with a site. It happens with internet companies. And I feel it is unfair to ask for the whole months payment back. You're still playing the site for the rest of the month when it is up. Why shouldn't you be paying for those benefits then?
Getting a reimbursement for the amount of time you can't play is fine by me, but not robbing them of the money that you fairly paid them for time on their site.

Inrun, you are using some pretty harsh words like robbing them of money...I never said that would be something I would want to do. But being credited for downtime should be something that's done in my opinion. For long periods of time. Honestly, I will have to go back over the ToS of Premium before I can answer your question about what happens in regards to downtime.
Better customer service in most cases generates more people. At the current time, my experience with customer service hasn't been real great, but I don't deal with them enough to quit Premium. But would I really reccomend someone to join after my experiences? Not really. (No, I'd rather not share what happened...) But had I of had a good experience, I would be trying to get as many of my friends to sign up as possible.
These are just my opinions, nothing else. I'd even be happy with an extra space faerie scratchcard or something in exchange for the downtime...but *shrugs*

I used those words with reason.
Because it's my beliefs, that you should be reimbursed no more, and no less then for what you lost. Fair is fair after all.
I suggest you do go back and look through the TOC. But I personally would find it unfair, if some were reimbursed and not others. If it's not stated in the TOC, then I don't feel they owe anyone anything. Because you signed an agreement that said nothing about reimbursing users. (This is only if it's not in the TOC mind you.)
*sighs*
But whatever. I'm not going to start a whole different argument at the moment. To me, Neo always has, and always will be just something I do for fun. I would be far from crushed if I lost my account to freezing, or anything like that. I accept things for how they happen in Neo and in life. But thats just me. And I have always been a strange neopets player. So meh.

Found this little nugget in their TOS on the subject...

I love the part in bold, its basically legal mumbo jumbo that translates "Love it or leave it, bub."

Look. I was upset when I said to whole month. I retracted it and said I would be happy with time lost or an extra space faerie scratchcard. Now drop it. =_=
