aww how kind of you :) but you should be careful, alot of people lie to get people to give them stuff like that.
I sometimes give away petpets to people who neomail me, just for fun :)

I know of a certain mod here who seems to do that regularly--I won't mention any names b/c I know she would hit me or blush, one of the two.

It does make you feel good. I have done it a few times when someone new has written me asking me how to play the game (not when they beg, mind you). I can't imagine how anyone new could play this game--stuff is so expensive and the nps you can get from games keep getting lower and lower.

I applaud you Lady_Night. You have pushed the skeptic in me deeper into my soul and let the charitable Morningstar arise at least for awhile. With all of the nasty glitch stuff taking place, perhaps a little charity work would be good for the soul!

A lady I kinda know was trying to transfer a pet for her son and someone else snagged it. It was painted Orange and the person who got it wouldn't give it back. So I bought her son an Orange PB and told them to just replace the pet. A couple weeks later, the person who snagged the original pet decided to give it back to them, so now the son has two Orange pets with similar names lol....

Generally speaking, I don't give things to people unless I know them. Then if I'm in the mood I'll just send people on my nf list things just for fun. However, I have been known to send someone a quest item if they post on the HD, are new and getting no other help. Seems the least I can do.

I keep my main account preferences set so only nf can mail me or send me things so that makes it more fun. Only on my gallery is mail open. I find it so nice to log in there and every now and then find a nice message saying thanks for a lookup or background or some html/css help. That can make my whole day.

When I get a faerie quest I always send a codestone to the person who looks up the item for me. It takes 2 seconds to do a lookup, yet sometimes no one responds. I like to let people know that their help is apreciated.

I hang around the HC most days, and when people get faerie quests I give them the items they're after. I must admit that I am nice for selfish reasons though. It keeps me occupied! During the wee hours of the morning for most users (late afternoon for me) the HC goes very quiet. I do the items stuff to keep me amused!

Getting a 'thank you' note is the nicest thing! It lets you know that manners still exist!

I had someone send me a 200k wand of something-or-other just for giving them their quest item. I couldn't believe it! There are heaps of really unselfish neopians like that out there. Thats what makes neo worth it!

Aw, thats nice! yes, i have many stories like that to, but im not going to tell any because it would sound like im trying to get people to give me "awww TWW's no nice"s.... er, see what i mean?

either way, yeah, there are a lot of annoying people... i mean, when you think of the Neoboards, you think of crazy New Member and report-crazy game players.... but actually, there are alot of nice people out there... and although its fun to make fun of how bad neopets is getting with corporate stuff and corrupted people.... peope just get way too into that and dont realize how great most of the people on neopets are!

I love doing random acts of kindness for people. I did one here awhile back. I don't even remember what it was but when the person swore they would pay me but I told them to just pass on the kindness to the next person! That way the kindness keeps going.

this thread reminds me of the movie "pay it forward" its about a boy who decides of a plan to be nice to others. he would do a random act of kindness to three different people and instead of having them pay him back he asks them to pay it forward by each helpng 3 other people and asking them to do the same in a neverending cycle anyways back on topic....

today i saw that someone on the forums here was looking for a petpet to go with their newly adopted pet. they had decided on a petpet but couldnt afford it because they were a little short of money this week. anyhow i was feeling in a good mood and sent it over to them.

I've done some nice things around neo. The best thing I've done is donated 100k to someone's gallery. :)

I got into a battle of wits with some kid in the neoboards (when PPT was down, I was desperate for neo-interaction). Well, you know how those things go, it disentegrated into idiotic banter, so I backed down and left the boards, not wanting to get reported for... whatever. I checked my shop til later that night, and the same guy bought about 20K worth of stuff from my shop. I neomailed him, asking why, and he said he had the extra NP lying around, and enjoyed arguing with someone who could hold their own. I laughed so hard. Is that neokindness?! I... guess so!

Yeah, that's what I do too.
For all the ranting and raving, it's nice to know there are really nice people out there.
For example, when I had a multiplayer game with breakers147, he was very nice and chatted with me, and even gave me some tips about the game. :)

one person from ppt actually gifted me with a lovely robot unicoto :) which was very very nice of them :)

another time there was a thread on the neoboards, ages upon ages ago, asking people, what do you wish for? i said i wished i had a blue petpet paint brush which would be for my gallery *but i was teribly poor at the time, buying all the other gallery stuff* and the person actually bought and gave it to me :)

i also like to buy people the quest items they need, though i usually only do this within my guild (i don't generally go on the neoboards anymore)

If you see my sanity, get it to give me a call.

You inspired me. I just went to the quest board, looked for posts with no replies, and bought three people the random items they needed. Nothing really expensive, but hopefully it helped them out a bit.

I think Ill go do the same thing.
