Thanks for the tips weirdguy. My old high score was only 253, so I played a practice game and got 406, then decided to go for AAA and got 466 my second game. Tips that nearly doubled my score in two games are pretty awesome tips!

If you find you're running out of time before you can use all of your ammo, shoot arms as well. I got up to 704 that way.

That second one will be a life saver. I hope you're a fast typer, though.

Thanks for the tips! My highest so far was 517 - don't know when I got than on the new game. I've been averaging about 375-420. I didn't know those codes... I'll try those out and see if I can beat AAA!! Thanks again! :)

Yay! I did it... 462. Just enough to beat AAA! Those codes really helped. Thanks! Now I'll try for a personal best high score beyond that!

I wish i had known about the second code before i spent forever working on beating AAA. I succeeded without it but i would have gotten there much faster had i know.

I thought everybody used Garmfay's petpage for games (and avatars), so I never bothered to post the link. I use his pages religiously for any games I am unsure of.

My_First_Little_Pony - List of game guides with game codes

Another good reference page is here. It is easy to remember - "So_you_need_a_guide".

Think of it as an ego boost, like being able to beat Super Mario Brothers without losing a life. Or being able to get through X-Men: The Video Game for Sega Genesis without using a Game Genie.

I suck massively at this game.

Still scraped over the finish line.

Sorry for this but I need to express my frustration to people who understand why I'm annoyed.

Over 600 tries at Meerca Chase gravity.

Highest score - 666
Then I got the Fish Negg and my brother's girlfriend came in to ask me seomething. I hit a key to open a new window and it refreshed the Meerca Chase window.

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARGH!
Why me?

Nooooooooooooooooooo! 800 score then "we have a problem processing your score"

Someone shoot me now. Please.

Type catapult to gain an extra Power-Up

* It seems like TNT have mixed up AAA's and Abi's prize.

*Sings to the tune of "My Bonnie Lies Over The Ocean* [1]

My bullseye lies over the ocean
My bullseye lies over the sea
It might as well be in calcutta
Coz I can't score for nuts that are peas!

Bring back,
Bring back,
Ultimate bullseye for me, for me!
Bring back,
Bring back,
Oh bring back a bullseye for me

My score is consistently zero
I can't get above twenty three
I can't hit the board on the blue one
Oh bring back a bullseye for me!

(chorus)

I've finally gotten a bullseye
My score is above 23
Now to get back to those meercas
I hope you had more luck than me!

I brought back,
Brought back,
I brought back a bullseye for me, for me!
I brought back,
Brought back,
I brought back a bullseye for me!

[1] Top score 67 when I wrote this song (ok, yes I said 23 in the song but 67 doesn't rhyme very well)

Tips:

1. If you're scoring one or two consistently and a balloon pops up, try and aim for that. If you hit the target on the way down it's fantastic but you'll get either 5 or 10 points just for hitting the balloons.
2. I generally used the powerup asap. That way if I got a bullseye I could have another shot.
3. I've had the same problem with punchbag bob. Just keep trying.

I'm ridiculously bad at this game too. I can't hit the target from this perspective with any regularity, plus I swear no matter how I shoot the arrow goes straight past (and through) Punchbag Bob as if I wasn't even pointed at him.

Still, the challenge is pretty easy, keep tryins.

I could never play the original version, but have the gold trophy for UBII. 14/14.

When I first started, the angle was a problem, so instead of having to adjust both catapult and power of shot, I only adjust the power (most times).

Shots without balloons:
1. Don't move arrow, only adjust power - close shots power is just under 1/2 (just before the arrow tip), middle distance shots is 1/2 power (on the arrow tip) and long distance shots are just over 1/2 (just over the arrow tip). I have never needed much more power.

2. Save powerups until last shot (a bullseye on last shot gives you an extra 3 shots).

3. If I have it, I always use the reverse bullseye (blue) powerup and slightly raise arrow to hit the board for a Bullseye and another 3 shots.

Shots with balloons:
1. Angle arrow up slightly and use 1/2 power or less, so after you hit the balloon the arrow falls into the target.

With Punchbag Bob, try to keep power to 1/2 or under, usually any more will send it straight past.

Funny, I always did well on the original but couldn't score well on UBII. Guess it takes all sorts.

I'm with you on the adjusting the power, not the angle. With everything moving around, I figured the angle at least would be a constant and not a variable.

Since you've got the gold trophy, I would ignore my suggestions and go with yours :)

Edit: YES! Finally got the Meerca Chase II score of 702. I got a "power negg" and was able to grab enough ordinary yellow neggs to make it through.

I think it's a good thing I'm so bad at ultimate bullseye II - otherwise I'd be heading off to shoot either TNT or the meercas - I'm not sure which one at the moment though.
