Gah! Having a heck of a time finding that last meepit and the ring

Mon Oct 16, 2006 12:51 am

how do I get to the clearing? I have 29/30 of my vines, but I don't understand how to go from here...

I've gone through the caves, placed everything properly, had the "the creature sees it's self in the mirror and runs away" message, read the new part of the comic, but when I go to the shack I can't seem to access the woods at all. Have I done something wrong or am I being dense and just not seeing it?

Have you clicked the button that says 'Begin Searching for Ilere'?

There's a bit more than just "sees self in mirror". You have to set up the food, mirror, lamp and chair so that se falls backwards over the lamp and hits his head on the chair. The coordinates are on the first post... don't remember them right now... but it's something like food in the front to the right, mirror in the middle in the front, lamp in the middle, and chair in the middle in the back... hope that helps ;)

For those still having trouble getting a high enough score, the cutoff's lower than 400, according to the Neoboards:

I got 345 and FINALLY got it

my score was 230 and i got the juice

My first score of 170-something (I was BSing it, as I usually love this game) didn't cut it, but my second score did. And if that isn't encouraging enough, I'm pretty sure there's a cheat code somewhere out there that extends your time. I'll see if I can dig it up....

EDIT: People on the Neoboards with good scores aren't getting their juice anymore. Is anyone else having this problem?

EDIT 2: The cheat to reset all timers on the screen is "juice-o-matic" (probably without quotation marks). The one for an extra life is "hungrymeepits" (without quotes).

Cheats
There are two cheats you can use during the game to help you on your
way. All of these codes can only be used once per game, so use them
wisely!
Type meepits OR hungrymeepits during game play for an extra life.

Type juice-o-matic during game play to reset all the meepit
timers.

Gilly

What a creepy tree.
Sophie

Let's be be careful in there, huh? Ilere's very powerful, and not necessarily friendly toward visitors.
Gilly

Well seeing as how it was so hard to find this place, a little hospitality is the least she could do.
Bruno

Do you expect trouble?
Sophie

I always expect trouble. That way I'm pleasantly surprised when nothing goes wrong.
Gilly

Then let's go inside!

is neopets running really slow at the moment, all the other pages seem to be working fine but neopets is really slow.
I finally got my vines right. Dont know what my combination was because he quest item screen wouldnt open up so i dont know if i even collected all my vine. I dumped the last 2 types of vines and that made it so the vine was just strong enough but too short. I then added more vines one at a time till it was the right length

Its not in your normal inventory but your quest inventory.. it should be there1

Aw, unr4veled beat me to my edits. :P

Wait, your vines disappeared again? If the meepit juice bug is a reality, I wonder what's going on.

Mon Oct 16, 2006 1:02 am

A score of 206 didn't work.
500 and 850 did (you only need 1 juice, for 7 ghost meepits, though).

I got them dancing and now, some more story and To Be Continued and chapter 3: http://www.neopets.com/halloween/hwp/co ... ?chapter=3

Mon Oct 16, 2006 1:03 am

Thanks for the help, everybody! I just need 2 more of those creepy saucersize-eyed Meepits.

Yeah - i have some vines - but only four types... And i even made a map of the forest and scoured it from beginning to end... nothing.

And i get the "The line is too short" message, but then it doesn't matter which type of vine i add, it still says it's too weak... and this is after already having to start over once because my rope was too long. Grr... I hate (love) this plot.
