First off i would like to say that i joined to say thank you to everyone here for there suggestions and help. I would never had made it this far myself if not for you. (I suck at the "here's a hint guess what to do" parts) Anyhow thank you for all your good suggestions and directions here.... oh and that star mapper works WONDERFULY I love it.

and now onto a question. My friend is still having problem and I cannot find her stars! here is her map: http://img66.imageshack.us/my.php?image=starmap7wz.png I thought that the stars towards the bottom left looked correct to be her pattern however the start that would be the bottom right on the eye is to far down on the telescope to click! Does anyone else happen to see another set that prehaps I've missed? (*whispers* and yes tho it is a bad bad thing I am logged into her account [she's an irl friend] so i can test anyones theories) I belive everything is clicked and she has visited everything she needs to so far however I AM tempted to go back and start from the begining to make sure everything is clicked as it needs to be and that i have the right star map for her. So anyhow help would be GREATLY appriciate and thank you in advance for your time :)

You don't have to go back to the beginning to check. Go to the Lenny at the Archives and see what he says. He should wonder about whether that same pattern you found (from the Tomb) can be found elsewhere or something. Then you know you did all the previous steps.

She has missed a step somewhere along the way, that map is not correct, there are too many colored stars. It should be mostly white stars

Help! Still can't find The Sleeper constellation. I thought it was the 3 yellow stars at the top right but I was wrong.

Can someone help me find it pretty please?

I thought it didnt look right but I'm not quite sure what step she would have missed.... I did think that there where to many colors however. But after staring at my map for so long I thought maybe I was seeing things *laughs*

Quote:
The archivist says, "A pattern of two lines, on the front of that old tomb? How intriguing. I wonder what it could refer to? Perhaps there is a matching pair of lines somewhere to be found."

Well he does say that. Let me do a little more digging and I will get back with everyone

(again thanks for the help)

*Edit*
The map is now different. Prehaps she didn't click the door THEN visit our Lenny friend? Before I ask for help again I will see if I can find it myself.... thank you for the suggestion of seeing what the Lenny said seems somewhere a piece was missing and it has now fallen into place :)

I don't actually know, they just lept out at me, usually I'm rubbish at this sort of thing, it took me ages to find mine... and you're quite welcome :)

As the constellations get harder, it will be more difficult for us all to help each other and for the Mods to moderate (necessary to ensure the survival of these threads). I suggest that people having a lot of trouble try to find a Star Buddy, so to speak, for the next parts (privately, not openly on the forum) and/or read the First Post, then if you are still having trouble, please reiterate these steps at this part of the plot:

1. Visit The Restive Tomb and click on one of the dots on the door to reveal a bright constellation.

http://www.neopets.com/altador/tomb.phtml

2. Talk to the Archivist.

http://www.neopets.com/altador/archives ... rchivist=1

3. Gather your (new) Star Data.

http://www.neopets.com/altador/astro.ph ... tar_data=1

4. Submit (new) Star Data into Ye Olde Star Mapper.

http://www.boomspeed.com/zaniam/theSky.html

5. Use your Brain and view your Star Map to locate the constellation found on your Tomb door.

http://www.neopets.com/brain/use_it.phtml

6. Go to the Observatory and use your Telescope to find the constellation.

http://www.neopets.com/altador/hallofhe ... l?stairs=1

7. Connect the six stars with two separate lines, exactly as in the configuration on the Tomb door, and Submit.

I just wanted to let everyone know that I found it thank you for your help. (Even though it was something simple not knowing what she did I needed the reminder to see where she had already been lol) I will be lurking and I am sure you have many many more lurkers on this board and we all thank you for your hard work!

All right. I've spent the past hour and a half looking for my star. Any one want to be my star buddy?

I havent noticed this mentioned anywhere but I was just curious did anyone else notice if you click on the bulliton board for the other clubs that they are accepting memeber however 'you're already in the Atronomy club' so cannot join? I wonder if any of these will become active either later in the plot or after the plot is over games of some sort.

This is getting out of control...

People should look for the stars themselves, no offence but that's part of the gig.
I mean, we didn't let other people draw our maps for the temple in TLD plot did we? We've spent hours some even days making a map, why not 3 hours looking at some stars?

BUT, we should add 1 example photo in the 1st post, so people know exactly what kind of shape they are looking for (in the sky it still looks different then on the temple door etc).

I've been looking for my constellation for quite a while with no luck. I'm not sure whether to post the map for others to see or to try to find a star buddy. Can anyone help?
