you found a staff of camraderie!

'twould have been nice, except I already had a better staff XD I ended up selling them though.

Thats not quite what happened to me-it only said I got each weapon once, but they were in my inventory twice each. So the finished battle would have said: "You found a ___" But I had TWO "___"'s. I hope that made sense...

If I Mesmerize an enemy, and in a later turn cause a shockwave, will that break the Mesmerization?

Sun Jul 24, 2005 7:28 pm

Nope. The only thing that breaks Mesmerization is a change in HP. Just healing or damage, in other words.

In other news, I beat Evil again, netting me 950k for a Ramtors Spellbook.

People, I need your help. I started playing NQII today and I'm already in Level 7. I'm training to go to the "Underwater" Cave (thah one with "cave ogres" and "skeleton guards") and after that, to beat Zombom (or however you call him :D) How much should I train before going deep into the cave? :)

Check out http://geocities.com/neoquest_2/

It gives you a rough estimate of what level to aim for at each stage.

I clicked this link (from the first post in this thread), and got strange pop-ups and then my virus program detected a virus. UGH, maybe that link should be taken down? I'm not going to click it again to make sure that was the problem, but those of you daring souls out there might want to check it out.

That's because the page it was hosted on got shut down, for some reason.

I need to try and find another copy, actually...

erk.

so...close...to terask......

shall I level all the way up to 60? I'm...a little over 58. I just beat the second pant devil, and I'm currently on my way to restock on potions from that one lady.

Thu Jul 28, 2005 2:14 am

Depends on your weapons and stats. If you have defense skills 6-7 or more on all characters, and 15 Haste points for Velm, you should be ok. Just make sure you're well-stocked on slowing potions. If you just defeated the second pant devil, you've got a ways from Terask II anyway; chances are you'll be level 60 by then without even trying.

I actually never went in the cave (I hate being far away from an inn pre-Velm so I just train in the trees then go straight to Zombom). But I'd say seven is high enough, since you should be able to take out Zombom at level nine. Just be stocked up on blast potions and healing flasks! In my Evil and InSaNe games I didn't attack normally with Rohane at all until Zombom was down to single hit points. (And I beat Zombom at level 9 InSaNe so I think this is really the best strategy.)

And congrats on being level 7 already! I always found leveling up in the beginning to be boring.

Is it true that the Four Faeries are actually harder than KT1&2?

Cos I beat them just now, and found them to be quite easy. I'm on Normal, and I was level 46

Depends on your skills.

I played a no-Talinia game with Velm having Mesmerize and Mipsy having DD, and they were extremely easy. I mean, all of them were mesmerized but the one I was attacking, and that one was slowed, so I got no damage received at all. :)

But then I played on Evil and I was extremely underleveled and I just died. :P

How does a no-Talinia game work?
Cos surely you'd get her at the end of the chapter anyway if they don't join

I've never had a problem with the faeries either, even without using mesmerize. I've heard of people waiting until level 50 to fight them, but I think leveling up past 48 is more tedious and time consuming than beneficial.

Unlike Mipsy, Talinia doesn't join you automatically. She DOES show up in all the chapters later, so you can have her join you if you change your mind, but you can play the entire game without her.
