I think the petpet is annoying in general. I tried it for half an hour, at least (once the method was established, about an hour before anyone figured out the 10 step thing) and must have messed up somewhere, but then I took a break and tried again, and got it on the first try. Very finicky, if I do say so myself. At this point, if anybody still cannot get it, you can PM me and I"ll try to explain it. Unfortunately, as some people have brought up, this is *not* the easiest clue to complete for slow browsers! I feel lucky that I have a fast ethernet connection.

If you're still having trouble, take note of where the word Altador is positioned on the upper left side, note where it starts, if it moves as you feed, bind and whatever, you messed up, start over. as long as its in the same place you're doing good.

also, dont wait for exactly a minute, about 2 seconds after the neoclock comes around to :00 check bird, then do appropriate action.

hope this helps a bit, have a good one!

silver, a few of us were talking about this on a board -- why has it taken hours for some of us? Why can some people just use refresh and have it work and others have to click the Check On? And how are some people who aren't clicking Check on or refreshing but simply clicking on an action each minute getting it to work quickly?

We're wondering if TNT hasn't found some truly bizarre way to make this even more of an individual thing.

For me? I ended up having to click the Check On at exactly :59 for it to work -- nothing else would!

I wonder all this, too. I find it very hard to believe the Bandage :59 thing, since it is hard to predict how long it takes from clicking to data being transferred on things like dial-up or even a pause in regular browsing. (On the other hand, many claim it worked .. Coincidence? Hmmm .. I dunno.)

Also, I don't know much but maybe it has something to do with the URL changing? I wish that just a *few* people would post some significant data on this, such as: Did your URL change when you refreshed (clicked Check In after treatment but before the new minute)? I could only get an extra few characters in my URL if I checked in after treatment (before the new minute and then of course again simply to refresh the petpet's pose). I assume this was submitting something, but maybe it is not necessary in all versions of all browsers? So maybe it has something to do with that? Submitting and regeristing data (plus variability of browser functionality and user settings)? If so, I highly recommend anyone having trouble with this stage to pay attention to that part of their browser's browsing so to speak. If you have to enable the Status Bar in your IE or just use your eyes and brain to pay attention to any other change, please do so. I would worry more if there is supposed to be a change, and there isn't one. ;)

Having said all that, we all might want to prepare ourselves mentally for the last two constellations. Since neither constellation finder or mapper has "tracked" the last two, TNT might have something special in store for us. So put your Astronomy Thinking Caps on, and think of the probabilities (ahem, not possibilities, that lends only to speculation and gossip). :P lol

EDIT: Furthermore, I hate to say it but there seem to be only 2 ways to do it right, depending (on what, I don't know). Assuming you can even find the bandages (heh) you still have to sit for 10 minutes straight and just pay attention, no distractions. It can be done with or without Checking In, depending on that factor that no one seems to be able to pinpoint. If you can intuitively follow instructions and sit for 10 minutes, clicking on a set pattern/sequence/*order*, you should not make a mistake even the first time around, unless it is an accident.

EDIT2: (Assuming your browser settings are *optimal* for neopets.) :P

Agreed, I tried doing the :59 thing and it didn't work, even with my cache messed with. However, when I did it randomly I got the bandages almost straight away. (:35 seconds for anyone who is interested) So I think its random.

the bandage thing surely is random BUT mostly the players DONT see the bandage, i myself clicked and refresh or re-ented for 2 hours before i even noticed how it looked.. using IE instead of firefox, chuffed with myself closed IE, went back to Firefox totaly forgetting to click continue on IE before. Since i then knew what to look for, i continued on Firefox, missed it 2 times ( yeah 'sigh') but finally got it.

I have to say, mine only worked after I visciously hit F5 after it took over a minute to load. I got is somewhere at 0.15 or something, but it again took some time to load, so maybe I got the data at .39, which was the other option, appartantly

I was lucky enough to notice the bandages after a few minutes. and i got the petpet to go on the first try. i didn't follow the instructions with the :59 and such. i just did the action somewhere in the minute, immediately checked in, checked in somewhere in the next minute, and repeated

I too was able to get it within a few refreshes. I didn't put the 59 second remark until people started to talk about it over and over. (No way I would've personally known if it was or wasn't. I didn't pay attention)

But now, based on what I'm hearing now. I'm going to take down the 59 second remark, and simply put that it should not take too long and the key point is to be VERY OBSERVANT. I'm inferring that most of those who are taking a while to get it must've overlooked the small protusion...

But who knows. Anyone with grave objections to this should PM me with a good reason.

Victory is mine! I got the petpet to light up just at the tenth try without checking in immediately, just after the minute passes. Thanks to whoever posted that method.

ScottNak-Maybe you should also put up that if Checking in immediately after the action does not work, then try checking in after the minute passes.

Good point. :D The petpet was VERY annoying. Because I'm an idiot, I clicked the action twice. Took me at least half an hour. :P

It took me a long time to find the bandage because I read the FAQ's to mean that you see the bandages after a while, and I saw them from the start. It wasn't until I went back and read some previous posts that I realized what you have to look for is the little tear on the right side bottom- which I whould have realized if I had looked more closely at the picture provided in the FAQ's. Meanwhile I just kept refreshing until the tear appeared.

It took a while, too, to get the right set of actions for the petpet. Pretty much what I did was to pick a set time, for me it was _:_;30 and did the action then and checked on the _:_:00 mark and if nothing changed then I checked again within the next 30 seconds. If nothing changed by then I did the action - which may have been the same as before if nothing changed when checking. I wasn't all that careful about exact seconds. So I believe that as long as you don't do the next action in less than a minute from the previous action that you are OK. You have to do the check action sometime to find what to do next, but I suspect the timing on that isn't crucial. Just my observations and thoughts.

When is the NST time for news anyways?

Because then I can sit and wait anxiously whether maybe news clues are to be revealed, like a good idiot with no life whatsoever.
