silver, a few of us were talking about this on a board -- why has it taken hours for some of us? Why can some people just use refresh and have it work and others have to click the Check On? And how are some people who aren't clicking Check on or refreshing but simply clicking on an action each minute getting it to work quickly?
We're wondering if TNT hasn't found some truly bizarre way to make this even more of an individual thing.
For me? I ended up having to click the Check On at exactly :59 for it to work -- nothing else would!
I wonder all this, too. I find it very hard to believe the Bandage :59 thing, since it is hard to predict how long it takes from clicking to data being transferred on things like dial-up or even a pause in regular browsing. (On the other hand, many claim it worked .. Coincidence? Hmmm .. I dunno.)
Also, I don't know much but maybe it has something to do with the URL changing? I wish that just a *few* people would post some significant data on this, such as: Did your URL change when you refreshed (clicked Check In after treatment but before the new minute)? I could only get an extra few characters in my URL if I checked in after treatment (before the new minute and then of course again simply to refresh the petpet's pose). I assume this was submitting something, but maybe it is not necessary in all versions of all browsers? So maybe it has something to do with that? Submitting and regeristing data (plus variability of browser functionality and user settings)? If so, I highly recommend anyone having trouble with this stage to pay attention to that part of their browser's browsing so to speak. If you have to enable the Status Bar in your IE or just use your eyes and brain to pay attention to any other change, please do so. I would worry more if there is supposed to be a change, and there isn't one.
Having said all that, we all might want to prepare ourselves mentally for the last two constellations. Since neither constellation finder or mapper has "tracked" the last two, TNT might have something special in store for us. So put your Astronomy Thinking Caps on, and think of the probabilities (ahem, not possibilities, that lends only to speculation and gossip).
lol
EDIT: Furthermore, I hate to say it but there seem to be only 2 ways to do it right, depending (on what, I don't know). Assuming you can even find the bandages (heh) you still have to sit for 10 minutes straight and just pay attention, no distractions. It can be done with or without Checking In, depending on that factor that no one seems to be able to pinpoint. If you can intuitively follow instructions and sit for 10 minutes, clicking on a set pattern/sequence/*order*, you should not make a mistake even the first time around, unless it is an accident.
EDIT2: (Assuming your browser settings are *optimal* for neopets.)
