For anyone else, here's my template. It's fully transparent because it's a bmp so you can easily see the stars underneath the holes.

Yes, it's supposed to be different. The new map should have mostly white stars; the old ones have lots of coloured stars. Have you been to your telescope after visiting the tomb and the Archives? You need the telescope to load before your new get_star_data will turn up.
