Aside from the Haiku, I think we are still on the right track with the waiting. Sure it gets annoying, but that is what haiku, rhymes, and, may fave, free verse is for. We just have to keep our eyes open and let the art and poetry flow.

Awwww.... :D I love it!! There is nothing to forgive! Please, continue!

Edit: eeeep!! Sorry ScottNak, and everyone else. I truly didn't intend that statement to be taken that way. :(

As I said in the title of my last poem and addendum (a feeling seconded by ScottNak. Domo, ScottNak), we should get back to working on the plot and throwing crazy theories out.

With that said, I humbly resubmit my Adam is a Goa'uld/in league with Seth Theory. I chose Seth since he is the bad boy of Egytipn mythology and since I'm an Isis fan, I feel it is his evil influence that has made a plot in an ancient Egyptian themed world last so long. It makes sense since:

Adam is a Goa'uld,
Or he is in league with Seth.
We must fight the plot!

Something tells me you can't stop poetry vs. prose; it is like the LDP clues hidden under your nose. However, I suggest if we persist, we should just write like this.

(On a non-rhyming note/more to the actual thread on point, has ANYONE tried anything different since we all have been in this creative respite?)

EDIT :: heh, just noticed the word for "short rest interval" also is re-spite.

:P

I personally will never let anyone interfere with my artistic licence as defended by the US Constitution, Amendment One, second-ish sentence (it has a semi-colon). That being said, I think everyone is out looking for clues, waiting for more fun and games from the rest of us, or asking for help as the catch up. We should just wait and see what happens. (I'm a watcher and thinker, not a hunter and gatherer) and check to see if Adam's eyes glow (meaning Goa'uld) or if he starts looking like a deformed ant-eater (sorta like what Seth looks like).

Heh, I thought maybe something had happened with the plot, but nope, it's just poetry. Someone let me know when this thread gets back to plot discussion, please?

 If it's really going to be that long, someone must open up a poetry/comic forum (or something similar, and if anyone does please PM me); my creativity to boredom ratio is about to exponentiate!

Rest well, Neopia. See you when I see you.

I agree with all three of you but if we really are going to have some down time between tasks, we should at least be allowed to have fun with the plot: make jokes, do poems, make funny pics, random theories involving Goa'uld and Egyptian gods, etc (as long as it is plot related!) until something new comes out. I'd rather see a board full of plot related jokes and speculation about random subject than see a board full of repetitive question from late-starters and people expressing their bordom/outrage with the plot. Unless someone wants to PM me about this and violate the 1st Admend, this is how I will treat the forum, but only in moderation! Too much randomness is a bad thing. Peace out y'all. This may be my last post of the night unless encouraged otherwise. Thank y'all for your time and ear.

Well, thank you for saying the former, which most of us indeed may think, but modding is still a hard job, and if the plot is on vacation so to speak, so do the mods deserve to be in my opinion (especially considering many mods mod more than 1 forum) .. however since it is creativity and not so much redundency, i might be so bold as to suggest it does not require much modding at all (EDIT: in other words it requires more modding to respond than it does to simply observe, like most all other posts, than to just let them pass/split?)

Same here, good nite to the forum. Respectfully, thanks to all.

Nobody asked, but I figured I throw in my opinion just because. During plot down times, which as we learned during furniture making, can last an insane amount of time, I have no problem with more artistic posts. So I say express yourself as you will, within moderation. Frankly I'd rather scroll through a few poem posts than a bazillion, "where can I find a space for a...?" posts. But I'm not in charge and I'm sure those moved to super creativity can always use another board, but I'm kind of sad when I see that nothing is going on so several hours have passed between posts.

And while I fully support the First Amendment, it is an American thing, and this is an international board so I don't really see how it applies.

It is definitely up to the mods here. In the meatime, we should all do the "moderation" thing as suggested in all posts, I suppose. Thanks. :)

Well, actually no matter the content, our job is to look over every post and mod if need be. So if you write poetry or ask a question on a plot, our job is to read that post and mod if it needs it. I can honestly say that I have read every single post in all of the LDP threads up until this post. Do not forget also that there are still people who have to catch up. Maybe they work during the day or have school or had to visit family. Whatever the reason, they have to catch up, it's not really fair for them to have to sort through page after page of "fun" just to see if anything new is up or anything has come up with a theory they might be able to work on.

There are other boards for things like that, such as The Gallery for creations such as poems and stories and original art and No Nutritional Value for picture spoofs and whatever else. I believe Elric started a thread there to post her picture spoofs. If you'd like to make a thread in either of these boards to continue, feel free! I encourage you to express yourselves and indulge your minds. I love reading the things you come up with, but it would be better suited on the proper board. :)

However, please respect members who need to catch up and who might not find this creativeness as amusing when they would just like to directly discuss the plot or catch up after a long day. Thank you! :)

Edit:
Ooh, I just had a thought. lol If someone makes a thread (or threads, if on the Gallery and NNV) where everyone agrees to join in (who want to, of course) instead of having multiple spoof threads on other boards, I will link it in the first post. That way you can get to it easily and others who want to read them can find them easily as well. ^.^
