She has all the "known" faerie blessings that I have found listed for levels up to 38 and these weapons:
Large Metal Shield
Caustic Potion
Snowglobe Staff (which I get angry with when it "breaks", wish I had something better)
Grand Lightning Beam
Lost Desert Dagger
Short Bronze Sword
Scarab Stone Slingshot
Oh, and she's an Eyrie, and I cannot stand single use items unless I just HAVE to have them. Otherwise, I would rather go a little more expensive and get something I can use over and over again.
Also, I cannot seem to beat Meuka not matter what I do. Those radioactive muffins just wipe me out everytime.

You have an Eyrie. This should make things easier

Large Metal Shield-->No. Decent shield for low level only. Dump and get a Leaf Shield.

Caustic Potion-->No-no at 74 HP. Dump and get a Downsize!

Snowglobe Staff-->This is really solid. High freezing % for the price, and it's veritably best up until H4k Helmet.

Grand Lightning Beam-->This would be good if it was 2k max. Since you have an Eyrie, you can fall back on their nice specie weapons. Replace with an Ancient Eyrie Power Wand.

Lost Desert Dagger-->This will mix up your icons a bit to help plow through shields when the Wand doesn't work. Keep this

Short Bronze Sword-->Again, replaceable by the nice Eyrie specie weapons. Get an Ancient Eyrie Battle Mask here.

Scarab Stone Slingshot-->You don't have a healer yet. With your remaining cash, get a Green Scorchstone if possible or get a Blue.

Thanks for the good advice! I was wondering why the sheild didn't help me out too much, LOL.
I'm definatelly going to give those a try as soon as this glitch is over. I'm afraid of buying/selling too much until things are all back to normal. Any advice as to how to beat Meuka?

Right-o, I'm not a newbie to the battledome or anything, but I was hoping that some pros would be able to help me fine tune my battle set before the 'war' starts.

My main battling pet's stats are as follows (weak, I know):

Species: Lupe
Level : 34
Health : 62
Strength : 61
Defence : 43

Alright, and here are the weapons I'm currently using

Shaken-up Can of Neocola

Downsize!

Simple enough. The Neocola has good icon diversity, but your ILS does air (The selling point on icons for the Neocola) already. What you should do is try to get a Halo of Devilpuss- it gives you the Dark icon diversity. I used one before I upgraded, and it hit high pretty often. If you don't want to save up that much, you can try an Iron Lupe Helm or Sturdy Iron Lupe Boots for some dual-duty effect. However, that and your Leaf Shield need to be thought about.

Your defense is currently 18 points behind your strength. Unless you can devote to training that, dump the Shield and any dual duty- they will be worthless. At that point, you can either use pure offense or try full blockers (ie Winged Scarab). However, at the lower levels, it is much cheaper to just train the defense and use a Leaf Shield than getting a Winged Scarab.

You can replace the Earth Potion with a Battlecard for the extra punch.

I was thinking about Halo of Devilpuss, but since it's a NQ2 prize, I'm scared it might get downgraded, which could happen. I'm trying to steer well clear of the NQ2 weapons (unless I win them of course

I must admit that I don't really block that often, so I might follow your advice later on and dump my leaf shield for something that can do a bit of damage and possibly a winged scarab once I start earning some np again.

This is probably going to get highly debated, but...

I don't feel NQ2 is going to get downgrade, much less the Halo. It's been a solid 6 months now, and nothing has happened... a good sign. I would use NQ2 if it saves you money (I do), but even if you are a downgrade-fearer, your fears should be contained to the Comb and Book. The Halo is weak enough already for an Evil prize.

I've only been on neopets for a couple of months and was wanting some advice on my weapons. I'm using my lab pet right now and would like some quality equipment advice thats not too expensive......about under 200k? I can't spend that much.

[EDIT] I'm also on Chapter 3 on Neoquest 2 Evil Difficulty, so I could possibly get a weapon from that.

Oy, I've never been much of a BD person, I mean never. But since the recruitment for the war has already started and I badly want that yellow compass shield, I might as well.

Yesh, well I've never really tried so they're really bad but oh well...

I don't really have a price limit for weapons, though I don't want to spend too much money on it as I am - or was saving for something else.

Keep the slime potion for a healer.
A leaf shield provides good defense for new BDs.
Dual Lost Desert Daggers are a good choice for your main weapons.
For a cheap Bomb try Illusens Earth Potion.

Help? I have NO clue what I'm doing, but would like to try the BD, especially get to participate even a little in the new war looming on the horizon.

Here's my pet's stats right now:

Species : Jetsam
Colour : Skunk
Gender : Male
Age : 38 days
Level : 13

Health : 21 / 21
Mood : delighted!
Hunger : very full
Strength : titanic
Defence : very heavy
Move : super fast
Intelligence : average

Move is all from the Shrine, presently in training - strength again

Equipped with:
jetsam fin of terror, jetsam chestplate, jetsam helmet, mud mixture x2, sticky snowball (they're getting expensive!, so are mud snowballs)

Abilites:
night vision, tough skin, magic torch, magic pebbles

I'm training as fast as I can, but I am limited in np, those codestones get expensive! Also, I'm thinking abilities - should I just go with dark faerie?

What other weapons should I have so he doesn't get totally crushed immediately on our first foray to the BD? That's not millions and I'm interested in more than one use (snowball) weapons.
