I recently adopted a pet with reasonable stats, so I might get to fight a little bit, but when it all comes down to it, I still hold the (vain?) hope that we'll just be doing pretty much what we did last (serious) plot: puzzling, and a lot of it.

I clicked the button to get the locket, but I didn't get it. I can't get another one, so I guess that's it for me.

The locket doesn't go in your inventory but a separate Quest Inventory - go back to the house and you will see the link to the Quest Inventory if you have the locket.

If you don't then that is weird.

Oh I see. I was looking in my regular inventory.

I forgot which order I visited the people in. I just can't get in that shack now!

I wasn't even paying attention and didn't even notice we could get a Locket.

Glad I caught up lol.

You can visit them all again, it doesn't matter as long as you visit in this order of conversation:

1.Certainly, miss...

2.I haven't seen such metalwork...

3.That piece of junk?

4.It looks familiar...

I, for one, really like the idea of the Quest Inventory. That way, our items can't be stolen by the Pant Devil or Ice Devil or Grundo Leader or whatever, meaning we don't have to upt them in SDB as soon as we get them. It's a huge improvement over the last couple of plots.

Yeah, I like the quest inventory too.

Go back to the shack and find a cave.

There is now a scarey cave for us to enter.... however once we pick up an item from it, it seems we can't pick up any others.... i have a mirror right now....

EDIT: nevermind about that - to put down an item click an unoccupied section ofthe floor.

Where is a cave?

Ok, I've got a key....and i'm in the cave......now what?

I was clicking randomly when it said something was following me, so I clicked back the direction I came, and it said

key


You put down: key

We can pick up and drop the items, I wonder if there is an order to it?

go to sophie and click the button on that page...

So the items are:

Chest (cannot be moved)
Key (cannot open chest)
Table (cannot be moved)
Chair
Trash pile
Trash
Mirror
Lamppost

and every once in a while something will start following you, then catch up with you.

The mysterious, hulking creature stops and sniffs at the pile of rotten food on the floor. It picks up the food and eats it.

It seems to have an odd effect on the creature -- it's gotten all dizzy! It careens around the room.

After a moment, the creature shakes off its dizziness and flees into another part of the cave!
