All I can say is try writing the editorial about it. If it is a glitch, they'll do something about it.

anjuna, I share your frustration
There does not appear to be a logical sequence to this water plant.

The only other thing I can possibly imagine is that the "correct" combination has to be entered within a certain time frame or time of day.

This would account for why so many seem "lucky" to get the combo in 30 secs compared to our 3 days of incessantly clicking all combinations and/or randomly.

PS: my starting point is:
XX | XXU | UDU

Oh? Do you think the Editorial would answer faster? I submitted a bug report already, I hate to bombard them. Good idea though, actually. Thanks.

EDIT: gemma58: YES and thank you for saying that, it has occurred to me. And my schedule for being able to work on this is rather fixed. :(

I often thought it was during a certain time only, seems contrary but anything is possible. I wonder if they even work on bugs on weekends.

ANOTHER EDIT: I am currently working on a "sequence" that will hopefully take all of us "immune to randomness" toward success. It will basically involve a lot of resetting inbetween, but better ensures fixing. I think the "sequence" can't be too long. Perhaps only three actions and/or rooms? But it must be done in order, and from a certain room to another. Yes, long trials. Open 3 browser windows or tabs and enjoy the madness with me.

Well, the editorial is more likely to address to the entire site there has been a problem with it. XD;

I'd say, send one in to the bug reports and to the editorial and leave it at that. If enough people ask the editorial, they may at least confirm to everyone if it is random or not. ^^";

I'm trying to help my friend on her account with the water plant (I now feel your pain as on my own account I was lucky enough to be one of the people who got it quickly and with only a few clicks)

Okay but i have a question for you all does anyone remember where there water was when the correct combo was reached? All I can remember is that my room on the right the water was flowing in the upper left pipe. In my middle room I remember one of the vats was full but I do not remember wich. So does anyone remember what there's looked like prehaps that is the key to solving this problem (even if it is hard to figure out what to click to get the water where we need it to go)

When I was collecting all the solutions posted I remember comming across 4 different reports of the final state of the water. Assuming these people were not mistaken, there is not one answer for where the water will be. You have to go back over the last 3 splits to find this information if you want to see for yourself. I didn't keep track of that part.

water pattern

Mon May 15, 2006 3:00 am

I don't know that there's a water pattern that's the same for everyone. Earlier (P 7?), fergermister posted links to the images of water from her correct combination. Mine was a little different (left room, everything empty; middle room, left vat filled; right room, upper right canal filled). And my combination is not listed in the previous postings list: +x ++d duu.

Darn I was hoping there was atleast some sort of pattern there... *pokes TNT for making this so hard*

Anyway, has anybody found the east wall of the archives yet? I'm getting tired.

ummmmm....yeah, they use a coord system, as well as the random stuffs. i tried putting 2000000000000 in, and i could still go east. so give up.

No 'fence, but I think if you type in the number, you will never reach the east wall. You may have to click to get there.

@!! I suppose we are trying to get water to go into certain place. I'm guessing a mechanical valve will open a connection between 2 vessels. A switch will turn on a pump, which pumps water from one vessel to another.

However, I just can't seem to find any cause/effect between the doodads and the water. And the connections between water vessels/pipes is undefined. Not to mention when gravity will work, or when you need to pump it.

Has anyone here figured any of that out?
Maybe I need to abandon all logic.

combination

I can't believe it, but I was just trying combinations on my son's account, and then I tried the one that I got through on, and it worked (it's posted above).

Yes. I can honestly say, I figured out that much:
1) Abandon all logic.
2) Abandon all hope.
(Sorry. But I have.)

anjuna, I've got one thing for you to try.

Flood Altador
Turn each valve/lever once, working your way from right to left(or left to right)
When you get to the end, go back to the office
Then re-enter, and start going through working your way across again.
And so on.

I was having trouble with mine(though not nearly as bad as you), and as soon as I tried that I got it my second time across. I'm curious as to if this works for anyone else, and also hoping you can finally get yours.

OK, something's not right with my plot aspect. I can't get into the Water Plant despite the instructions. I found the Minitheus and tried to take the amulet, and I talked to the Moehog farmer, but the door is just as sealed as it was before.

There is definately no logic behind any of this. I went through every single combination possible using whoever's algorithim thingy and I didn't get it to work, and then I went back in and put in another person's combination, which I had definately done before, and it worked. So I have no idea what in the name of Luperus' third head is going on here.
