heres i think another clue..

unlike other maps, Altador allows you to ZOOM in and out..

possibly relating to the plot.

and, are the forums really suppose to be this slow ? or is it just something about my computer..

This is one of the few times that I will allow myself to fall into the lands of the Altador plot boards and publicly state my theory.

My educated guess, based on my experience with past neopets plots is as follows:

I believe that the 9th clue, is not out yet.

Lol, ok so thats not my whole theory. I think that for this clue, there will be ONE shop on the shop wizard (or trading post) with the 101 Ways to Calm an Infuriated Yurble item. I think it is about time for that level of complexity in this plot. The user will look like a normal user, maybe even a little New Member, but with a nice long supscription time. As far as what to do once that item "exists", I haven't an Idea.

But thats my theory. I'm also under the impression that the "mini" part of this "mini-plot" just means that they arent going to draw a comic and there will be no war. Basically like the MI volcano plot.

It allows you to zoom in/out, because it's flash. Most of the other maps are not.

You can zoom on any flash map - try the Lost Desert, you can zoom there, too.

And, yes, I think they're being slow, myself.

I feel a little better knowing that I wasn't being irrational in seraching high and low for a 101 Ways to Calm an Infuriated Yurble item. I've been looking for one since monday but was begining to think I had just gone a little crazy.....well crazier.

CAUTION: Thinking on my level does not mean that you are sane, in fact studies have shown in laboratory settings that animals are more prone to insanity....lol

zoom

Thanks for bringing up the fact that you can zoom in on the Altador map. I didn't know that. Any tips like that thrown in with the subject matter is greatly appreciated. (When I was in high school no computer classes were given or required. In fact, the rural school I went to probably didn't even have a computer in the building. Even when I began college, computers weren't all that common. So, people like myself can use all the help they can get!!). Thanks again.

Theory?

Thu Apr 20, 2006 6:32 am

I have a sort of odd theory for how to find the thief...it is probably really off but i wanted to voice it and see if anybody can use it...here it goes

I was thinking that maybe the astrolobe (since no seems to have had it stolen yet) needs to be taken out of the safety deposit box and taken to altador. Then there might be a certain place that it needs to be done, but then the theif will "steal" it. I couldn't seem to make it work, but maybe it is an idea that could help lead someone in the correct direction..or throw them totally askew.

Thanks for reading my "theory"

Aisha

Thu Apr 20, 2006 6:50 am

OK, so I know that Jerdana is an Aisha, so please before you tell me that is the reason, look around at the other statues in Altador. I see a couple of the other heroes, or others that are hard to tell what they are, but there are 3 of an Aisha in Altador. It might mean absolutly nothing, but I find the one on top of the Petpet shop strange. Why would there be an Aisha on that shop. The shopkeper is a Yurble, and Fauna the Gatherer is a Acara. So why an Aisha?

I doubt it has any significance. The Aisha species is highly favored by the Neopets staff. It seems to be a favorite and I remember Donna mentioning that fact.

From what I remember, part of the reason why they tried to avoid an Aisha being a main character in the last few plots and as a supporting character instead. Alot of people brought that fact up to Neopets and it even seemed like it was being done without their knowledge. They just stuck an Aisha in as a main character so many times that they didn't even realize it. Or so it seemed. At least that was the excuse I remember that was given.

What I find interesting about all the free-standing statues on the main map: they all face the Sea. Except for the Aisha topping the Petpet shop and the two at the Amphitheater, every single outside statue faces the Sea. I wonder if it was intentional, or just happened to fall that way.

statues

the statues must have to do something with it, some of them face in directions where we found older consts..

Okay I'm going to write down the things i've done just in case they either trigger some sort of idea from someone or just show what not to bother perhaps...

With my astrolabe I went and refreshed at shops to see if it would get stolen. I took it to the archivist. I took it to the astronomy club. I took it to the farmer, the docks, the tomb, the colloseum, the quarry, all the clubs and the janitor.

I went back to the shops with my astrolabe and did the inflation rate/bank thing again just to check.

I went round all the aquaducts and ponds etc.

I tried to click on the path away from the quarry.

That's all I can think of right now. Part of me thinks that seeing as it took us so long to find Friday's clue then a new release will follow usual schedule and seem early to us....OR they'll skip at the chance to spin it out longer and release it according to when we found the last one.

Thu Apr 20, 2006 10:50 am

it might be already out but in such an obscure place, we haven't found it yet, like with the collecter clue

Thu Apr 20, 2006 11:22 am

okay, I've about had enough with the latest constellation. I did the shop refreshing, clicked on the coin purse, got the clue, went to the astrology club, went to the archivist, mapped my star data, found the constellation... 'it looks like those stars don't match any constellations'.

I've now been repeating those stages for an hour and it still won't recognise my constellation :(

heeeellllp!
