Well, since I've just spent the last 20 minutes shifting through the last split and a half, I'm not sure how relevant this is anymore.

But anyway, I jumped on Neopets this morning and loaded my telescope into 2 screens. Interestingly, one loaded as my main map, the other as my alternate (first time I've seen my alternate in the telescope). But what may throw a spanner into the works is that both of my maps loaded on server 72. Same server, different maps.

Not sure if this helps or hinders anyone, but I thought I'd throw it out there anyway.

It is confirmed that the alternate map was a glitch. Dolpinling confirmed this and god knows how many connections he has inside TNT :)

Cool, thank you. I read everything posted by dolphinling, I just wasn't entirely sure how reliable a source he was. I sorta managed to miss a lot being gone from PPT for several months.

dolphinling, thanks a bunch for the info. You help us on every great plot. Just asking, did you get any info on when we will be able to find constellations? Also, is the reason we can't find them yet because tha data sheet for the constellation coordinates isn't uploaded?

Dolphinling, you have truly spoiled us. ;) If you can, please let us know if you hear when ther server glitches are fixed, or rather when we can start submitting constellations (and hopefully have some accepted). :)

When the site is "synced". I gather it's a once or maybe several times a day occurance, not constant.

I've been lurking for a week now without saying anything, and now I have a couple of comments.

Firstly, there's been a lot of hypotheses and circular arguments. So many that I have missed two entire threads as I'm not willing to read that much. And I'd say slow it down, but I know that someone who keeps up with all of the threads will kindly summarize the important ideas for those like me.

And secondly, thank you. I'm terrible with puzzles like these sometimes. And all of you have been incredibly helpful when I got stuck. I'd PM you all, but I'd never be able to leave my computer.

I will explain... No wait, there is too much, I will sum up.

Honestly, I know how you feel about all the theories, etc. In that regard, the best advice I can offer (and that anyone can offer) is that the important ideas/information is what is posted in the first post of every split. Almost everything else is pure speculation, and while I could go back and summarise what has been said, it would most likely be entirely pointless and confusing.

So for now, just stick with the main post and it'll get you through. Hopefully.

dolphinling: Hmm, I don't quite understand. I thought we were waiting for TNT to fix some servers that are giving alternate data that is useless at this time? I hope you're not saying that we can only play 'properly" during certain undisclosed times of the day, randomly? I guess my main question really is: Can we make constellations now that, if correct, would Submit properly?

OK, first of all, I want to apologise for confusing my info in my last post. Anjuna didn't give me 2 sets, she only gave me one. I had done something different with hers. I had been comparing 2 sets of someone who posted theirs on the neoboards, and because I was half asleep, I confused my method with theirs with anjuna's.

ANYWHO...

I had done the turned ceiling with Anjuna's and came up with a possible constellation, which were the coords I had posted.

To save time, I'm just going to copy the turned thing from someone else's post (sorry, I forget who posted it) and show you what I saw:

Unfortunately, it seems like it didn't work for her. :( I've got to head off PPT for a bit, but I will be back to give a few more ideas and suppositories...

Okay, two things in this post.

does that mean the second star set is non-existant? sad!
Also, for those just now working on star charts, or who want to create their own and appreciate the work our dear friend went through to design a star mapping program, check out this webpage.
It may be good to have a more interactive set-up of our charts, for some people, too.

They've made the fix, but they can't apply it until later today. Once it's applied, it'll be fixed for good.

Hope that's more understandable, sorry for not being clear the first time. :)
