The statues look very life like and someone said that the cracks seemed to be getting bigger, maybe the bodies are coming back to life and the light from the roof has something to do with it. This would explain their obsession with the sun. It could have been prophesised that once the sun roof was opened and the rays of sun touched the statues, Altadors heroes would return. Jerdana's could be the reason all this is happening if the protector wanted to reserve all the heroes (she may even be just the protector of the heroes) until they are needed. Then she would be protecting the heroes from death and aging so that they could protect Altador in it's time of need. I think all the people will come out one month at a time. And maybe that month theory will not only tell us who will come back each month but what major event will happen each month. This is all the ideas that i have combined into one theory.

As far as I can tell, one detail blows that out of the water pretty much: the Darkest Faerie was...

with the orb...

in Maraqua.

Though that's just with the Darkest Faerie.

In the picture with the two faeries the orb looks like its sucking something out of the darkest faerie and into itself. This is probably how they save Altador. Not by stopping the darkest faerie but by capturing her. Also, if you look at fyora, you can see that she's not looking at the darkest faerie but, instead, at the orb. Maybe there is something more important inside the orb, maybe, like I said, its the spirit.

We will probably need the telescope to find each heroes contelation. Then, once found, the spirit will probably enter through the sun roof and go into it's body. Maybe that's the importance of the sun roof being opened. Not only can the rain enter, as the janitor hinted, but also the spirits can enter.

At the moment this is the only evidence i have that gives my theory any basis at all.

...Eternity did not last forever?
That's like, of the definition of eternity.

For right-click and zoom on the flash maps, I think you can get better detail if you start with the larger version of the SWF:
http://images.neopets.com/maps/map6/map6_en_GG_12_3_48_3.swf

The first altador map file name was map6_en_GG_12_3_48_0 so I changed the last number of the file name a few times to see if future versions were up, but I didn't find any.

I believe the city in the background on the left is the slightly modified art from the CCG card. Some of the upper buildings have been removed the shoreline's been moved, the altador flag is gone, and the coliseum has no 'people' in it. I think neopets does all their finished art in flash now, so it's not necessarily siginifacnt that they would reuse that piece of art for their map.

The missing buildings and flags from the more distant part of the city were reused to make the little island on the altador flash map.

The volcano has been smoking ever since the island plot. Also, before it gets brought up the "stars" have always been there too

But it's WRONG. Not the same way "PIN Number" is wrong, but no less wrong.
An eternity lasts for eternity. ForEVER. And some things are not flexible.

It's humour.. you know - it's supposed to be funny. Eternity didn't last forever - geddit?

No it's not. I thought that earlier, but it's not.

Fauna is an Acara, whereas the Shopkeeper is a Bori.

Actually, not to seem petty, but the shopkeeper is neither a Bori nor an Acara, but it is a Yurble. A very cute cuddly Yurble...the end.

Here's the thing.

Fyora banished her for eternity. It was supposed to last forever--hence, "eternity." However, something happened, and TDF got released. Bam--the "eternity" did not last forever.

Sun Mar 19, 2006 9:02 pm

I understand the point, but it's an incorrect use. "Forever" or "forever after" could be used that way...but "eternity" can't. It's a word thing. It's an English-major-to-be thing. It's an I've-read-too-much-for-as-long-as-I-can-remember thing. I'm one of maybe six people on Neopets who understands, and the only one of those six who cares. (I'm also lame.)

If I remember reading correctly, the Darkest Faerie was supposed to be "banished for eternity" but really only ended up being banished for 1000 years. Somehow, she was freed, which I think is where this "mini-plot" picks up kind of.

And in case you can make anything of it, here's an image of *all* the gems overlayed on each other.

I thought this picked up after the PS2 game?

The Neopedia article says that a Lupe and an Acara helped to restore the city, and in the game the protagonists are a Lupe and an Acara. Also, the article says that The Darkest Faerie is gone.

So, I think that it's most likely that this is set after the video game, and this (mini)plot shall involve something else.
