Mom misunderstood me when I said that I needed to do an Advent Calendar this month. I didn't exactly say a Neopets Advent Calendar, so she misunderstood me and went to the store she bought me one of those Chocolate Advent Calendars.

That is pretty funny. I can understand parents misinterpreting the greater need of the Neopet. Whenever I visit my mom, she doesn't quite get that Neopets isn't a game, but a lifestyle. Well, Neopets, [AS] and high speed internet are a lifestyle. I'll just have to remember this when I go back next week. 'Sorry mom. I can't go to the Christmas celebration with the family. My pets need me here '

I love all of the Neohome items...too bad I don't have a Neohome though. I destroyed it a couple weeks ago because I wanted to concentrate on increasing battling equipment and looks for my pets. I didn't want the Neohome there to tempt me away from what I wanted to concentrate on.

Oh well, I guess these are good things to keep in my SDB and aim for the Pack Rat avvie.

The easiest way (works in firefox only) is to right-click (on the page outside the swf area), select "View Page Info", click the "Media" tab, and a list of files used in the page will come up. It should be fairly evident which is the animation (.swf extension and filename with "advent" in it). Then click Save As and choose where to save it.

In IE, you have to save the whole page ("File", "Save Page As") and then go into the folder created. The swf will be there. Then delete the rest (unless you want the whole page).

On another note - today's animation seems to convey a deeper message. Definitely my favourite so far.

This may seem like a random thing to say, but a few years ago, I'm sure all the prizes were not christmas-related, I remember getting neggs and all sorts from the advent calender. It seems a shame that they don't still do this, the items are pretty useless after december.
